What are the chances we get a military coup during the next four years? I’ve never been in the military, but I’m sure these guys aren’t happy about their new commander and thief.

In my experience most troops were apolitical.

Nope they won't do that, but I believe you are going to see a rash of officers that are going to leave the service.

I recall during the Clinton years they had to stagger the release of officers because a mass of senior officers did it all at once.

Former Jarhead chiming in. I'd say zero. As much as I dislike him, I don't think we want to go down that road.

No, I don't think they are, either. That isn't reason enough. If a President went full-on batshiat insane and started ordering round ups and executions or something- military resistance would start with the refusal of obviously unlawful orders. Where it would go from there- who knows? I'd expect Congress- even such as it is- to do something about it.

Chances are slim to none. Our military is made up of professionals, not banana republicans.

It would have to be beyond bad for them to move against a constitutionally elected president.

We made it through 8 years of Clinton and 4 years of Carter. We’ll still be there when this guy leaves.

A military coup is unlikely, but they’re worried. They have good reason. If he were MY incoming CnC - that promised “civilian defense force” that’s as well funded and well armed as our military would scare the beejeebers out of me, and I’d be worrying that all the progress in the WoT is about to be undone by the guy who promised to stand with the Muslims against the US.

It’s been discussed - here and within the military.

‘Nuff said?

Nonsense!

You question our troops loyalty, and that offends ME! Those in uniform will defend the CIC.

Period.

I didn't care for LBJ when I was in uniform, but he was POTUS, and that's our system.

The fact that Marxist Obama chose to visit the gym rather than visit the wounded in Germany is not lost on our troops.

Nevertheless, our troops are our country's finest, and they will comport themselves accordingly.

.

You better stow that crap buster! Someone is gonna kick your butt if you don't.

The patriots in the armed forces of the United States Swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution, from all enemies both foreign and domestic. That is what we have always done and that is what we are going to continue to do.
