This is EXACTLY the way the UPI blurb on Google reads:
Potential Palin in-law arrested in Alaska
United Press International - 2 hours ago
Sarah Palin's daughter, Bristol, has been arrested in Wasilla, Alaska, on drug charges, police say. Police said Sherry L. Johnston, whose son Levi is ...
At the actual article it says:
Potential Palin in-law arrested in Alaska
"..WASILLA, Alaska, Dec. 19 (UPI) -- The likely mother-in-law of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's daughter, Bristol, has been arrested in Wasilla, Alaska, on drug charges, police say..."
The bolded parts illustrate the difference. I doubt this was an accident.
How is this legal? How ist it anything but the scummiest of journalism?
What say you, defenders of the "free web" advocates?
RoTo-Reuters, all the sludge no one else would ever print
We say, click your link and see that any such error has been corrected.
I don’t think Bristol was arrested, its her future husband and motherinlaw. If I were Bristol I’d turn that loser loose.
where is the actual headline? Complaining without a ‘real’ link?
Huh? I don’t see it. Maybe it was “corrected”.
Gov. Palin had better have just got a big start on her campaign war chest from this.
looks like they’ve already fixed it
I think you may have jumped the gun on this...
I thought it was just the mother in law.
Which I still believe. This is Reuters committing libel. Hope they get soaked.
As if that matters: the damage is already done. Bristol is a pregnant druggie, that’s what The Sheep will believe.
The leftists are REALLY afraid of Sarah Palin. Rightly so.
.....wow....
All the news that’s fit to make up??
I still see it. It isn’t the headline but the lead line in two stories from reuters and UPI.
Sarah Palin’s daughter, Bristol, has been arrested in Wasilla, Alaska, on drug charges, police say.

They've corrected the headline the this is what you get for a description when you do a search on Reuters for "palin".
It’s actually UPI

The article says:
Potential Palin in-law arrested in Alaska
"WASILLA, Alaska, Dec. 19 (UPI) -- The likely mother-in-law of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's daughter, Bristol, has been arrested in Wasilla, Alaska, on drug charges, police say.
Police said Sherry L. Johnston, whose son Levi is engaged to the younger Palin, is facing six felony criminal counts for allegedly manufacturing and possessing narcotics in her Wasilla home, The Politico said Friday.
Johnston was arrested Thursday by police, who searched her family home in attempt to find additional evidence to support the narcotics allegations.
Johnston, whose son is the father of Bristol Palin's unborn child, has since been freed from the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility on $2,000 bond.
The elder Palin has already issued a statement about the charges against Johnston, whose grandchild is expected to be born Saturday, the Politico said.
"This is not a state government matter," a spokesman for the former Republican vice presidential candidate said. "Therefore the governor's communications staff will not be providing comment or scheduling interview opportunities.""
WHatever...Ted Kennedy killed a woman, this is no big deal.
However, when you click the actual link, that line is not in the story.
The story actually has this as the first sentence: "The likely mother-in-law of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's daughter, Bristol, has been arrested in Wasilla, Alaska, on drug charges, police say."
Nice omission of those first 8 words describing the mother-in-law in the preview.
