It sure is becoming increasingly hard to discern the difference between SNL and real politics anymore. Apparently voters this year thought things Tina Fey said imitating Sarah Palin were things Sarah actually said. Now we have an SNL alum, stealing an election with a process that looks exactly like an SNL skit. We are so fu - errr screwed!
Looks like they're as spineless as the WA GOP. Some WA Dems are there advising on how to steal this election -- looks just like WA Gov 2004.
He is projected to win with 89 votes.
As a Minnesotan, I’m ashamed right now.
First Ventura, now this disrespectful clown.
He spends 30 years tearing down our system and politicians and now he joins them.
We’re past that stage. If this stands, it’s time.
Minnesota is quickly becoming the political joke of the country. Why would anyone ever want to live in such a lukewarm, moderate, indecisive environment? The people of Minnesota should petition Congress to allow it to split into two states. One viable and healthy and one like Michigan.
Liberals steal elections because they've convinced themselves that conservatives cheat too.
If a recount goes on long enough, the Democrat will always "win".
Let it be. This will just add to the conservative backlash in 2010.
Let me see if I have this straight.....Caroline Kennedy has NO experience to be a Senator,.....but a dimwitted genetic mutant in Minnesota, with absolutely no brains or experience is defrauding the Republicans and will become a Senator?????????????????????????????????????
The DFL (Democrat-Farm-Labor Party) in MN is damn near it’s own Mafia up here. That’s how. The State is the #1 employer, so government unions come into play as well.
“This crap would not fly in Texas.”
Three letters — LBJ
If Franken, wins, it will prove that the whole election was a joke. He’s a laughing stock and an embarassment to the Democratic Party. It’s like electing Bozo the Clown to office. He’ll do something really stupid in the first few months in office. Somebody will crack on him and he’ll throw a punch. Or he’ll bust out wirh an Obama gaffe. It’s like money in the bank.
What a freakin joke.
Anyone see a pattern here?
It IS a worldview thing.
What makes conservatives different from libs is the respect for rules and process versus only seeking a desired goal (solution).
Remember that they are reviewing St. Louis County now, which is a dem stronghold, so most votes will fall for Franken. This is not surprising.
Very slick on the dems’ part. Very slick indeed. How their plan seems to be unfolding:
1. If lose the initial count, get canvassing officials to state they are “tired” and “correct” the totals by 100 in Franken’s favor. Result, Franken gains by 500 votes.
2. After coming up short in the re-canvassing, “find” new ballots strategically placed throughout pro-Franken counties. Pull them up and announce they have been found, and count them in.
3. After double-processing at least 133 votes in (you guessed it) pro-Franken Minneapolis, insist the court allow them counted. Even though the 133 are never found.
4. As insurance, get the court to mandate all the disqualified ballots to be counted, even if erroneous.
5. Finally, when reviewing the challenges, devine the “intent of the voter” and put Franken over the top.
6. Game, set, match.
7. Sen. Elect Al Franken.
And how much of a drag are these states on our fiscal situation?
