Florida police investigating the disappearance of Caylee Anthony say they are re-interviewing a county water meter reader who earlier this month discovered what likely are the girl's remains, but they deny that the person is a suspect in the girl's death.
The worker found bones Dec. 11 near the Orlando home where then 2-year-old Caylee lived with her mother and maternal grandparents. He also had called in a tip to police on Aug. 11, 12 and 13, telling them to look in the same are for the remains, police said.
Orange County Sheriff's officials say they believe the unidentified tipster was in the area on Dec. 11 following up on his own tip when he discovered the remains.

Good points.
One word:
REWARD
I think this guy was thinking he might be lucky enough to collect the reward offered by Padilla. So he just kept on phoning in “tips”, hoping to hit the Bingo.
Maybe not the most noble of motives, but rewards don’t require noble motives.
Did investigators find Caylee Anthony’s book at search site?

Not a suspect? Yea, sure. Lawyer up and do it fast.
You mean she will give up the Scott and Lacy Peterson story?
I quit watching her at all after about a year of that.
Odd. Very odd. However, I still believe the mother is guilty. The smell of death in her trunk and failing to report her little daughter missing for so long cinches it for me.
((((My suspect meters just pegged)))
I do believe the LEOs down there just got their #1 or possibly #2 suspect.
He called in the tip line on the same area as he walked by the same garbage bag over and over and the police came out and never checked out the garbage bag. Must have been too messy for them to get into the swampy underbrush and they didn’t bother.
He didn’t just call in with random places.
ping............
I do that all the time.......
That's Barney Frank's line. lol
But why would a murderer keep calling in tips to find a body he or she put there?
Wow you don’t appear to like cops much -
I agree.
The cops screwed up. The Defense will jump on this.
If Casey’s fingerprints are all over the place on stuff, she’s still screwed. I want NO DOUBT that Casey did this. She did do it.
From your link:
3 days, 3 calls
A sheriff’s official offered this outline of the three tips by the utility worker in August:
— On Aug. 11, the meter reader called the sheriff’s office communication center to report a bag on the “right side” of the road near the intersection of Suburban and Hopespring drives. The meter reader was not there when a deputy arrived. The officer cleared the scene.
— On Aug. 12, the worker called Crimeline, which collect tips on unsolved crimes. That information was documented and sent to a detective, who made a note that the area had been searched by a cadaver dog and the tip was closed out.
— On Aug. 13, after the worker called the communication center again, two deputies responded to the area — each arriving separately — and they met with the meter reader. At least one deputy checked the woods and cleared the scene for a second time.
Cops screwed up!
This is so disturbing because I’ve felt the LE has done such a great job so far. The initial claim was the utility worker saw the bag from the road - so why didn’t he take LE straight to the bag when they met with him on the third day?
