Coleman's Lead Dwindles to 2 Votes in Minnesota Senate Race

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The tight Minnesota U.S. Senate race between Republican incumbent Norm Coleman and Democratic challenger Al Franken has become incredibly close -- with Coleman clinging to a two-vote lead.

That's the latest tally after the state Canvassing Board spent a third day ruling on disputed ballots. There are hundreds of challenges yet to decide, as well as thousands of withdrawn challenges that have yet to be tallied.

Coleman had entered Thursday's session leading Franken by 360 votes. But that lead eroded all day as the board considered a pile of challenges brought entirely by the Coleman campaign. The pile included a big chunk of withdrawn challenges, many of which went quickly to Franken's column.

No more theft. They stole a house race in Ohio already.

This has to stop. A gigantic stink needs to be made. Shut down the Senate if Franken is seated. Shut down Minnesota.

It was probably a myth that MN was ever known for its clean politics. Surely no more

The American people can barely spell “freedom” much less understand it. To them, freedom is stopping by the pizza shop on the way home from work so they won’t have to “cook”.

Another stolen election by the dems. A corrupt cheerleading press is bankrupt in more ways than one.

Pray for W and our Troops

Change can and will happen. We will be all right. Don’t fixate and obsess over the violent times in our Country’s history, but prepare yourself, your family and your neighbors for the challenges that lie ahead.

Look, our system - the Constitution - works. It is what enabled our nation to last as long as it has. If we the People allow ourselves to be ruled by a fascist regime (and let’s be honest, we are), that system will fail. You won’t need to take up arms and push it over, it will collapse under it’s own weight. I bet you even see that coming, or at least sense that it will come.

In the meantime, pray for peace and prepare. Get ready. Be the voice of reason when those around you start to panic. We the People, with the help of our Creator, will restore the Republic again. Our great experiment will continue anew and the ideals of the Declaration will live on.

Because he’s good enough (yikes), he’s smart enough (only when compare to those who voted for him), and gosh darn it, people like him (well, I am sure his mother does).

I really think that the cold up north has caused these folks to lose their minds! What kind of moron would vote for Al Franken? Do they realize that people have given their lives to provide them the right to vote?

I repeat—wtf!

Minnesota has become a laughing stock. Why don’t they just declare Franken the winner because he is going to steal it anyway. How many months does it take to elect a senator?

America is dead and gone. What’s left is a land mass populated by cretins and parasites who have absolutely no respect for the military and who vote for big government to confiscate money from their neighbors and “redistribute” it to them. It is not an America worth defending anymore.

Whatever.
I just live here.

Every man for himself.

I actually agree with that. I had never thought of W’s “compassionate conservatism” in the same sense as TR’s progressivism, but I think you might be right. Both involved projecting state power in both domestic and international policy. The Medicare fiasco and the rapid growth in federal spending over the past 7 years would have been enough to demonstrate this, but the nationalization of our financial system and the attempts at the auto industry show how W has out done TR.

If the American people don’t fight for their country now, it’s gone along with our freedom, our security, our future.

The time for fighting was before the election. As painful as it is to face, The People did not greatly reject The Reject. From what I see, my lay opinion is that these ballots are being fairly judged in accordance with MN law.

I fear for the American’s who have suffered to make this country great, the newest fad seems to be chastise all those
who love freedom, God, and live a simple life.
Getting freedom back is harder than reforming it(which is moving in a negative direction). it is very sad news for the world. At this point even in an economic breakdown their can be no trusted agendas as our leaders tend to prove themselves as liars and thieves..This nation was built on morality and the founding Fathers knew that if the nation turned corrupt(as were the nations before America formed)the principles of Democracy would not work..
I have worked for everything I own, and am not whining and do not need a handout, but why is it necessary to bailout large companies with our money when for the same money all mortgages could be paid monthly until folks get on their feet. Let the insurance company rot.I would rather see the people benefit who pay taxes than what is happening now. We are being robbed in the name of a crises they knew had existed for along time. That also shines a light on another side of this issue, The elitist attitude coming from Washington now tells me they think I am too stupid to deal with reality.. What they are really saying is I am too capable if given the truth of uncovering their agendas.
Business is a necessary engine of Democracy, but when our grandchildren are robbed of their future wealth in the name of saving business, I say its time for those businesses to meet the Do Do bird.
Ok rant over..
God Bless America, Come Lord Jesus!!! we need you badly..

Those challenges were for ballots for Franken.
Franken would be in the lead if all of the challenges had been rejected.

Has the canvassing board considered Franken's challenges?

Why doesn’t Minnesota just have a run-off election? Louisiana does it all the time. If it just comes down to a handful of votes no one will have any confidence in the winner.
