The militant Islamist organization Hamas announced Thursday evening that the cease-fire with Israel in Gaza is over, 24 hours before the six-month truce was due to expire.
"The calm, which was reached with Egyptian sponsorship on June 19 and expires on December 19, is finished because the enemy did not abide by its obligations," said Hamas official Ayman Taha, who respresented the group in talks with other Palestinian factions. "The calm is over."

Stand by for closing punctuation.
There was a ceasefire?
Good. Now Israel, wipe them out.
...Dreaming on....
This means that they have completed rearming.
I think a a”calm” is different from a “ceasefire.” I dunno.
We Jihad while raping and executing women and children. If armed forces attack we kill ourselves because Allah loves a coward.
We only Jihad after signing peace accords, which means we still Jihad, but our enemies do not fire back.
Our greatest Jihads happen after rearming and recruiting more cowardly murders.
Scr*w Islam.
Hamas announcing that they are ending their ceasefire with Israel is like me announcing an end to my pro basketball career.
Lovely, just before Hanukkah. Heathens once and always.
Yup. Timing is perfect Jihadi group-think. The Hadj is over and the Jewish High Holy Days approach with Hanukkah. Just in time for a new winter offensive.
FYI...Let’s see what happens next.
let’s see if this changes reality on the ground . . . i rather doubt it. Israel is right in the middle of political season. Barring a rocket attack which manages to do more then bury itself into pavement, I’m not sure the current Israeli .gov is going to do anything more than a token retalitory strike here and there.
Now if one of the rockets got “lucky” and caused a number of fatalities . . . then maybe I can see a massive coordinated ground/air/sea op in Gaza aimed at Hamas.
Now if Likud takes back over after the next election . . . then I wouldn’t want to be living anywhere near Gaza, West Bank, Beirut, South Lebanon, Bekka Valley, Damascus, Tehran, etc.

Agree with your sentiments.....
Just correcting a point — Hanukkah is not the High Holy Days. It is a very beautiful and joyous holiday but a relatively minor one on the Jewish calendar.
Everybody needs to clam down.
They are not even going to wait till after the coronation?
I.J. have mostly been the ones firing rockets over the past couple of days. With the Hamas ‘truce’ now declared over I think we can expect to see a direct Hamas military response rather than just an I.J. one in the future, e.g. much more powerful and longer range rockets & in much bigger salvos, anti-tank missile attacks, Hizbullah style raids etc.
Anything like that is going to bring a much harsher response from Israel than anything weve seen for the past 6 months.
When will politicians figure out that a "Palestinian/Israel Peace Accord" is impossible. Every president thinks that he is going to solve this problem, well, you can't solve this problem until the Palestinians decide that they will give up killing Jews. I don't see that happening any time soon.
hey hamas, BRING IT
