Holder omitted Blagojevich link from questionnaire Announced as a special investigator to the Illinois Gaming Board in 2004
December 17, 2008
BY CHRIS FUSCO Staff Reporter/cfusco@suntimes.com Before Eric Holder was President-elect Barack Obama's choice to be attorney general, he was Gov. Blagojevich's pick to sort out a mess involving Illinois' long-dormant casino license.
Blagojevich and Holder appeared together at a March 24, 2004, news conference to announce Holder's role as "special investigator to the Illinois Gaming Board" -- a post that was to pay Holder and his Washington, D.C. law firm up to $300,000.
Holder, however, omitted that event from his 47-page response to a Senate Judiciary Committee questionnaire made public this week -- an oversight he plans to correct after a Chicago Sun-Times inquiry, Obama's transition team indicated late Tuesday.

More and more corruption.
This country is going to get a national case of whiplash with this case of buyer's remorse. The moment he goes from a figure of possibilities to someone who actually has to make decisions that affect people's lives, he's going to drop like a rock in the polls EXCEPT for the fevered lib followers of him, who will respond to his unpopularity by loving him even more, and making more and more excuses for his actions. A large chunk of the electorate will grow an enormous chip on their collective shoulder, and you'll REALLY hear the "racist!" charges with any criticism of Obama like you haven't heard before.
Maybe the voters of this Country will finally wake up to the lack of honesty by the drive-by media and first rule when electing a President — never elect anyone from Chicago because if you rose through the ranks in Chicago politics chances are you are corrupt especially with ties to the Daley machine, William Ayers, Rezko, Rev Wright, Farrenkhan and the list goes on and on.
Drive-bys owe every last voter in this Country a resignation for their lack of journalistic integrity in sitting on stories they knew might damage ZERO.
The MSM.
Does Barky have ANY friends and associates who are NORMAL?
“Drive-bys owe every last voter in this Country a resignation for their lack of journalistic integrity in sitting on stories they knew might damage ZERO.”
This is the thing to remember in the face of everything that obama does wrong. For any terrorist attack we suffer, for any economic fubar (though he inherited much to start with) for all and any corruption he brings to us, the MEDIA is more to blame than anyone. Even more than Obama or Clinton themselves, the media gets these guys elected by suppressing all this trash we later find piling up in our White House.
They’re the one’s that are supposed to help us avoid this as much as possible.
Grrrr.
See tagline.
But will that translate into votes in the off season election of 2010? That is the question. Historically, the party in control suffers in those elections and such was the case in 1994. The next question is, will the country even survive until that election? With a looming CON-CON and these guys in control that is becoming more and more problematic, IMHO.
No he won’t. And it is because what you posted about the MSM. They will keep propping him up and the mass of people will not hear about these Chicago crime connections.
I recently heard an analyst who proved to me that the reason Obama won was due to conservative values voters who either didn't vote for McCain or thought they'd give Obama a try. I don't believe we are a nation of liberals. I also don't think we're a nation of FReepers, either, but folks who vote on their guts. Their flow of information has been corrupted these past few decades, but I believe that if Obama proves to be as bad a president as he is a president-elect, these swing voters--and a renewed conservative base, supporting conservative candidates--will turn the ship around.
I just don't believe this country is going to be destroyed by our current short-sightedness, despite the greed (yes, folks, we have to admit that while McCain/Palin foolishness about "greedy Wall Street" was uninformed populism, there indeed ARE greedy business people out there who are in large part responsible for our current situation--don't be afraid to admit the very obvious reality here) from the rich as well as the poor and lazy who'd love to have a government that exists to bleed the producers in order to buy votes from the selfish. That indeed IS our biggest problem now--greed, though not as its been portrayed by the lib media. We need to remind people that the job of government isn't to verify lifestyle choices but to facilitate the citizens' desire to live their lives, period. I do believe it's possible, but it's not going to happen automatically.
Of course not. They're all Democrats.
Welcome to FR.
Also, the former Clinton EPA Carol Browner forgot to disclose she WAS a lobbyist for Dubai, then recommended her fiancee and his firm, not disclosing their relationship, so both of them worked on the ports deal and after Dubai found out... continued to.
BTW, she worked for the Albright group.
It also adds:
Downey represents a number of different clients that will create conflict problems for Browner, many of them in the energy business. Browner, though, won’t have to answer any difficult questions, due to the fact that her White House job is not Senate-confirmable. (Joy)

On to Vilsack for Ag
Snip:
President-elect Obama has pledged to cut farm subsidies and embrace renewable fuels two initiatives that hit close to the wallet of his newly unveiled pick for agriculture secretary, Tom Vilsack.
From 2000 to 2006, Vilsack, the former governor of Iowa, and his wife collected $42,782 in subsidies from the department he was tapped Wednesday to oversee.
Also, Vilsack is a partner at a lobbying law firm that trumpeted his advice to clients on agribusiness development and renewable energy a job that appears to bump up against Obamas promise to bar appointees from working on issues related to their employment for two years.
Vilsack told Politico he will do whatever is appropriate in the face of the conflict between his job as agriculture secretary and his work at the law firm, Dorsey & Whitney. And he said that if the law requires that I forgo (the farm subsidy) income, then that is what I will do.
Note: But the column insists there will be no conflict.

“Does Barky have ANY friends and associates who are NORMAL?”
This is the same question I’ve been asking for months and months. I think we are learning more every day (and seeing proof) that the answer is NO.
The Obama administration is going to be just like watching the Clinton administration with endless investigations and a constant cloud of suspicion. What’s been funny so far, though, is that Obama is already irritated that questions are being asked of him and he’s NOT EVEN IN OFFICE YET. I am sure Hillary and Bill are looking at him and thinking, “Amateur.” LOL.
Stock up on popcorn, people, and get ready for the show.
Funny thing, I work in a school, too. In fact I've been teaching both history and American Government for nearly 20 years at the secondary level with the last 12 in an inner city high school. The problem may lie with the type of historical research you have been conducting and the resources used. Also there is a danger in viewing history from a disjointed perspective when the reality of the last 100 years has been the universal drive to global government.
You can track the initiatives since the Presidency of Woodrow Wilson and in some administrations you'll find scant evidence of movement while in others the gains in this arena have been massive. Whether it has been in the nature of treaties signed, regulations expanded, freedoms restricted or social philosophy advanced. It all comes down to an inexorable creep in the same direction. This drive has nothing to do with political party or ideological viewpoints. It does have to do with money, power and elitism. If I mention the group of organizations that make up the usual suspects many folks are going to start crying "TIN FOIL HATTERY!" But time is running out on that old dodge of the ostrich. Too many overt moves have been made since the original President made the term New World Order a part of popular American lexicon: George H.W. Bush.
There is a potential blind spot in your own paradigm that I would attach to your tag. If you're an atheist (I mean no disrespect or attempt to evangelize here) or if you have not ever been grounded in a basic overview of specifically Christian prophesy it's going to be more difficult to assign a value to the significance of certain current or historical events in the light of a newly emergent geopolitical landscape. It's going to be more difficult to see the forest for the trees. But make no mistake, the view of a global society is still crystal clear if you can connect the secular dots correctly. You don't have to look at this from a solely Christian perspective for the end game to become clear.
Taken in the vein of a creeping progression to achieve global government this nation has not suffered through one, two or three poor administrations. It has been gradually fractured by a long succession of many administrations whittling away at the foundations of democracy even as our society has divorced itself from the moral compass needed to support a successful Constitutional Republic and the basic requirements of limited government. Society has devolved from the rugged individualist to the whining hand wringing supplicant of the nanny state. That is not an accident.
You don't understand....there is no connection because he didn't list it.
It's a kind of reverse of the principle "it isn't the seriousness of the evidence, it's the seriousness of the charges".
XXXX the cultural marxist agenda BS!
I agree with your opinion. Fortunately, the actual weather has a good chance of undermining the biggest fraud since Piltdown man, anthropogenic global warming/climate change.
