EASTON, Pa. A supermarket is defending itself for refusing to a write out 3-year-old Adolf Hitler Campbell's name on his birthday cake. Deborah Campbell, 25, of nearby Hunterdon County, N.J., said she phoned in her order last week to the Greenwich ShopRite. When she told the bakery department she wanted her son's name spelled out, she was told to talk to a supervisor, who denied the request. Karen Meleta, a ShopRite spokeswoman, said the store denied similar requests from the Campbells the last two years, including a request for a swastika. "We reserve the right not to print anything on the cake that we deem to be inappropriate," Meleta said. "We considered this inappropriate." The Campbells ultimately got their cake decorated at a Wal-Mart in Pennsylvania, Deborah Campbell said Tuesday. A Wal-Mart spokesman told The Associated Press on Wednesday that in light of the incident, the company would review its guidelines regarding cake decorations and other requests. "It's clear that in serving this customer, some people were offended," spokesman Greg Rossiter said. "As a result, we're going to review our policies." Heath Campbell said he named his son after Adolf Hitler because he liked the name and because "no one else in the world would have that name." The Campbells' two other children are named JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell, who turns 2 in a few months, and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell, who will be 1 in April.

And it’s always good to remember that the only thing we really give our children which last their entire life is their name. The store has my sympathies. So do these children.
On the other hand, this is one of the few times you can really shout at someone and say with meaning, “You’re an effin fascist.”
I can’t believe they have to defend themseleves. I think we all get it.
Well, HUSSEIN OBAMA’s first cousin is named FIDEL CASTRO ODINGA, try getting a cake decorated with that in Miami.
What kind of child-molestering creeps would name their infant son “Adolph Hitler Campbell”???
I suppose they thought they were being “clever”.
Evidently — given the names of their other children — they are White Supremacist bigots. And, unfortunately, they have the right to call their kids whatever they want. But surely there ought to be some commonsense and compassion for the little kid when they are making these bizarre decisions?
Lucky thing they didn’t ask me to decorate their cake for them. Too many good men fought and died once upon a time...
I am stereotyping and profiling but is this white trash or what?
exactly. I think it's more that YahooNews "phrases" it this way.
IMnsHO, giving such names to children is prima facia evidence of emotional abuse.
Wonder if they asked the shopgirl to put some gummi-swastikas on it?
Ill bet they gave him the cutest pair of jackbooties for his birthday.
I’m just curious...would they refuse a cake with Lenin, Mao, Ho, Fidel, Che, any African cannibal-despot-kleptocrat and so forth?
Some of them killed more than Adolf.
The press always likes to shine the light on the handful of white supremacists left in America like it’s still Birth Of A Nation everywhere.
for the record.....biggest mass murderer in history:
feminism....by a wide margin.....closing in on a half billion of those totally unable to defend themselves
proof that some people are too stupid to breed. Poor kid.
He had no mustache, wasn’t quite step march
I’m guessing my Idi Amin cinnamon rolls are out of the question, then.
The moral of the story is: if you want to be a Nazi-loving white supremacist, you have to learn to decorate your own cakes.
Probably, but the Pol Potstickers are still available.
The parents and the young Hitler in a family moment.
As are my Vlad Tepes Shish Kebabs.
That is what it is. I really don’t care.
