KATU News Portland Oregon is breaking news with a bomb threat.
Kids at the one High School are not allowed to drive home in their own cars.
All students are being bussed home. Parents advised to NOT come to the schools

Hope it is just a prank. We just had a creep bomb a bank in Woodburn.
The Bomb specialists on that one thought the bomb was fake and took it from the outside of the bank to the inside where it detonated.
They have the suspect in the bank bomb in custody.
The 2 are not related.

We had a rash of HS bomb threats a few years back, especially on Fridays, when tests were given. One idiot teen even called in a bomb threat on his cell phone.......

Many school disticts are closed now due to Snow.
Dave Anderson from the AM Northwest show said East side is not on snow break but west side is.
Maybe a student wished they had a no school due to snow day off.

VANCOUVER, Wash. - A suspicious device found at Evergreen High School in Vancouver Tuesday morning has led school officials to decide to bus all students in the area home early.
According to Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp, a threat led authorities to find a suspicious device at the high school at 13501 N.E. 28th St., causing officials to evacuate students to nearby Cascade Middle School.
Evergreen students, even if they drove to school, are being bussed home. Cascade students, meanwhile, were in lockdown until all the high school students leave - then the middle school kids will be bussed home, even if their parents dropped them off, Kapp said. Students at Legacy High School will also be bussed home.
Kapp emphasized that authorities do not want parents to come to the school to pick up their children.
All programs and activities at all three schools are canceled for the rest of the day and evening.
The incident came after Vancouver’s Mountain View High School at 1500 S.E. Blairmont Drive was closed Tuesday morning due to a fire.

It had not been posted when I checked earlier.
I will take a wild guess and say some kid(s) are jealous because they did not get to have a snow day like many other disctricts.
It must be finals week there. Happens all the time.
I though obams and Bill’s boys and girls wait until at least June before going to work but I see that I was wrong.

What’s the point of busing all the kids home and not allowing students who drove to school to drive back?
I’m sitting here with the news on behind me. At this point there doesn’t seem to be any later news regarding the school bomb but police are executing a search of a house in a rural setting regarding the bank bombing. Also, a second arrest has been made in connection with the bank incident.
Depending on what they find in the aschool, they may want to search some of the cars.
