Very unusual for Denver this early in the winter. When I lived in Denver temperatures like this typically came about during the Denver Stock Show in January. Cold weather of this type became known as Stock Show weather.

During the DNC convention they hid the homeless.

How many of these same agents of change, who came up with that idea, are opening their doors to the homeless today?

I feel incredibly guilty for sitting in 50+ degree weather right now. Maybe Obama should redistribute the warmth.

Well yes, I suppose so. But do people know that it is a record?

...I was almost going to say 15 is less than 14. My eyes aren’t so good, I missed the -. Jest talked to me brother at DIA, with United Airlines, he said there was smo snow, and it’s slow going. He may stay for a few days to avoid driving, roads are real bad. So much for winter north america warming...

And you should, because clearly you're a white male who's used his advantage in life to hoard warm weather at the expense of minorities and oppressed nations.

I’m sitting up here in Longmont and my thermo says -2. It’s always colder in Denver.

I envy that 50 degrees. I’m just east of Denver—Aurora is -10 right now. Although not too cold to suck back this Frosty from Wendy’s.

“That is “car won’t start” weather, I hope they come out of that OK.”

I remember an email I got some time ago with various temperatures and things that happened, including temperatures at which cars wouldn’t start.

40 deg. F: British cars refuse to start
0 deg. F: American cars refuse to start
-50 deg. F: Japanese cars refuse to start

I should look up the rest of that...

Global warming is coming to PA tomorrow. They’re saying it might hit 60.
OTOH, it’ll be raining bigtime.

Not weird at all. Cold air is heavy and we often get a temperature inversion. Here at 6100 ft we are a balmy -2 degrees, where DIA, which is about 800 or so feet lower is several degrees colder.
Denver actually sits in a valley, which can trap the cold air over the city and against the mountains for days. Thats when our air quality gets really bad. Fortunately we dont go long without a good downsloping wind to clear everything out and warm things up.

Wierd. Temp in Colorado Springs (1,000 feet higher) is 3 above

In between the cities is Monument Hill and Palmer divide, which often stop weather systems from going north or south. Denver can snow while Colorado Springs is sunny.

That’s darn cold for Colorado. It’s -30 here, but we’re used to it. ;)
