Algore may have been here. It dropped from 60 this morning to 5 degrees. The wind is just howling too.

Heh...I saw way colder than that on the Range at about 10,000 feet...back in the late November of 2001, IIRC. ...-22 that morning. I’ve heard tell of about -60 in spots on the Range in the past.

As for winter, it’s been starting later for three years (many bear still out in November), but it’s been much wetter (much more snow). It’s a cyclical thing.

Unusually chilly in the Eastside King County area.
Didn’t get above 23 all day, 21 now plus a crisp wind
whipping up the snow. Icy roads. Tomorrow should be
be an interesting drive into Bellevue/Redmond.

“I hope the local TV news is reporting the event.”

I live in Denver. No need for the TV to report it :) It’s pretty clear to all of us that it’s really cold.
