I an amazed at the universal and unanimous scoffing at the concept of global warming on this site. I just joined but I love it here already. We must bring the truth to these poor sheeple who think that man even makes a dent in the cosmos. It must come from bloated self worth.

Duly noted, Al. See you in five years.

Have any of Al Gore's predictions come true? This outburst is very unusual because he used a definite near-term time period. Normally he promises doom at some unspecified point many years from now.
Up until now Al has never gone out on a limb like this. I'm thinking that the stubborn refusal of the earth's climate to do what he insists that it will has been gradually unhinging him. Al's mental state is deteriorating rapidly.

Apparently the ice- extent was almost the same as the average for the observation period when yesterday it was changed by -500 000 sq km without any explanations.

Welcome to FR.

No, it comes from hubris and arrogance, with an amoral philosophical under pinning bread into the liberal/socialist/democrat from birth.

I think it comes from dreaming up ways to line their pockets. I am convinced they have figured out how to pocket big bucks off this garbage.

I wonder if Gore is willing to bet on that. I would like to wager the cost of electricity in his house (a year's worth) plus fifty pound of his own personal blubber against the same in cash and "in kind" value since I can't eat as much as Gore.
If THE GREAT ONE would kindly contact me on FR, we can work out the details.

I wonder: just exactly how hot it would have to get at the equator to entirely melt the polar ice cap(s)? Or, if you want to consider it in a anthropocentric view, how hot in Washington, D.C., which is where most of the hot wind originates?

Al Gore is a guy whose own staff worried about what stuff he would make up day by day. This lunatic has latched on to the Climate for his ticket to relevancy and can make up anything he wants now and blame it on “climate change” and be respected by half of his fellow lunatics in the population.

Al Gore is a liar. During the middle age maximum the temperatures were 1 to 1.5 degrees warmer in the summer and even more important were 1 to 2 degrees warmer in the winter, that is in centigrade, in Fahrenheit it would be 1.8 to 3.6 degrees warmer in the winter. This lasted several hundred years and the ice caps did not melt. In fact man flourished during this period. There was farming in Greenland!

If I were you I would sell the cross country skis while there’s still a market. Then buy an ORV, or a canoe, for your adventure in the arctic in 2013.
