Barack Obama never renounced his U.S. citizenship. Also, as he was a minor when he moved to Indonesia, neither he nor his parents could have renounced it. Period. As far as U.S. law is concerned, Barack Obama never lost his U.S. citizenship even as he gained Indonesian citizenship. Indonesias laws on the matter simply dont apply in this country.
And so while multiple lawsuits challenging his eligibility still have appeals left to be exhausted, the simple fact of the matter is that there is no credible evidence that Barack Obama is anything other than a U.S. citizen natural born in a Hawaiian hospital in 1961. As a result, none of the cases submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court is likely to be heard.
But will the quashing of the various legal challenges be enough to satisfy those that have bought into these unsupported theories?
If past conspiracy theories can be a guide, then no.

Youre the only one who looks stupid by trying to shut this discussion down. If it worries - or embarrasses - you you can always go elsewhere.Well, you're right that I can go elsewhere, but you're wrong that I'm the one who looks stupid.
I came here because I thought this was a place for people who were trying to do and discuss important things for the country. Expending time and energy on silly conspiracy theories is a distraction. Newsflash: "the base" is no longer large enough to win a national election, so running people off for failing to buy into fringe obsessions is going to guarantee more liberal victories.
“Would anyone have accepted McCains cert posted on FR? LOL!!!”
Good point!

The affidavit that Berg provided attesting to the interview said it was done entirely in Swahili, a language Obama's grandmother doesn't speak at all according to her bios. It was also supposedly done at her home, yet she never lived in the village that was identified in the affidavit.
When reporters came down to these parts to get the “real” story on the border issues people that were just hangers on at the coffee shop passed themselves off as ranchers- one owned a whole acre and most of them owned no land at all, none of them owned a single cow. Others snowed the reporters with all sorts of BS- including a lady that had literally just moved here from Oregon that assured them there were NO problems on the border- they never even asked her how long she had lived here.
I can just see some old lady in a whole other village passing herself off as Obama’s grandmother. I suspect this is happening more and more since reporters seem to have no idea how to check people out or really research a story.

No, because the whole village was there at the time, as well as a pastor well known to them who was doing the translating. It was almost a community effort, with one of her grandchildren, who obviously knew the score a bit better, piping in to say that Obama was born in Hawaii.
Well I have read reports in newspapers that she does speak Luo and Swahili. It was a fluff piece on Obama on how his grandmother couldn’t speak to him directly.
Where did you get the information she doesn’t speak Swahili and never lived in this village?
What does any of that have to do with Obama’s eligibility?
Are you suggesting that we should learn to live with El Presidente regardless of what the constitution says?

Sorry, i sent this comment to the wrong person. Long day. My apologies.
Spande Merde!
Knock off the name calling both of you.
Provide a cite or retract.
Of course the Kos ‘BC’ was forged. It is a rather low quality Photoshop creation, as a matter of fact. I saw it changing over time as they edited it in August. There is also the matter that it doesn’t look anything like a valid Hawaii birth certificate of the era that Hussein was born.
Now, it appears some are falling into the intellectually lazy credulous trap of assuming the Kos 'BC' is valid without any substantiation whatsoever. *sigh*
And if you want to dismiss Wikipedia as a source, fine. But provide a credible alternative that shows they are wrong.
