"we are going to have a new special prosecutor in Washington, D.C."

Something is rotten in the state," says Marcellus in "Hamlet."

Well, it certainly is in the state of Illinois.

Yet, on hearing U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald describe a plot by his governor to sell his Senate seat -- "conduct (that) would make Lincoln roll over in his grave" -- how did reform President Barack Obama respond?

"I had no contact with the governor or his office, and so I was not aware of what was happening. ... And as I said, it is a sad day for Illinois. Beyond that, I don't think it's appropriate to comment."

That was Tuesday. Yet, every day since he has commented. So much for what he "think"s.

Does it give anyone else pause to see our President-elect saying he didn’t know what was going on when everyone knows how corrupt Illinois and especially Chicago are ? And that Fitzgerald was conducting an investigation of Blago ?

This was all in Obama’s own back yard, among his political allies .. and he didn’t know ???? Blago had attempted to shake down at least five of his Chicago/Illinois political allies and he didn’t know ?

YET ... we are expected to believe he can protect us from terrorists conspiring against us on the other side of the globe?

Obama is a rookie marching to the tune of the Chicago Three. He doesn’t have a clue.

If he didn’t have close contacts with the Governor, what the hell was he doing in the Senate? Talking to the janitors?

"This was all in Obama’s own back yard, among his political allies .. and he didn’t know ???? "

Makes you wonder what kind of leader he'll be...he never knows anything, about anything around him. Like hillary, he "has no recollection".

I think a President needs to know is going on around him...any good manager would; of course, when your whole career has been as a motivational speaker and community organizer (read: race pimp), you haven't had a lot of experience with managing.

Deny, deny, deny...when you can no longer deny, throw your detractors under the bus, even if it's your grandmother. His supporters should think about that...what loyalty do you think obama will have to his supporters for just voting for him, when he took the woman who loved, nurtured and raised him, and threw her under the bus for political expediency.

He didn't even go to her funeral. But, I'm sure she knew the secret of the birth certificate. He made a quickie visit to her during the waning days of the campaign...you know, when the b.c. thing started heating up; right after that grandma died and the Hawaii Governor sealed the document. I sure wish problems in my life would just fall in order like that...amazing.

He’s either lying, or incredibly naive. Either way, it isn’t good for the country.

By the way, I don’t think he’s naive.

JUST IN FROM LEO DONOFRIO!
[UPDATE]: 11:26 AM - Dec. 12 2008 : Rumors of a decision denying Cort’s application are unequivocally false. A SCOTUS Spokesperson just told Cort Wrotnowski there has been no decision. She indicated there will be no decision until Monday. The conference is sealed, no clerks are allowed in.]

If Obama's grandmother had survived a few more months, she would have been the first person in American history to be alive when a grandchild became President of the United States.

Four adults shared in Obama's upbringing--his mother, his stepfather, his maternal grandparents. The only one who was still alive when Obama was running for President was his grandmother, but she was kept from the press. It was very odd--the one person who could have told the world the most about this almost-unknown person who was trying to become the next President. Instead all we got was the carefully-sanitized image that Obama chose to give to the world. The media was quite willing to play by his rules.

“Four adults shared in Obama’s upbringing—his mother, his stepfather, his maternal grandparents.”

But who did he write his heritage book/tribute to? The alleged sperm donor who abandoned him and his mother when he was 2 years old!

Cant’ figure out why that strikes me as somehow wrong. He couldnt write a glowing tribute to his white grandfather, the WWII vet, or his single mother, or ‘rock’ grandmother? Even the Indonesian stepfather who took him in ? Oh, noooooooo, it was to his African absentee bio-father. It strikes meas more than wrong, it strikes me as sick.
