Boxer doesn’t have the common sense and smarts she was born with.

Barbara Boxer, a few minutes ago on the Senate floor: "...this is the Christmas season. My goodness, let's take a chance on this. Let's take a chance on this."OK Babs, here's an idea... why don't YOU liquidate everything you own and bail out the auto union yourself? Hm?

Shocking and disgusting.
“Bail out the Marxists because hey, it’s Christmas”.

You would think differently if you lived in Michigan.

Boxer is one of the most anti-Christian people in Washington.

Did they vote on my $10 million bailout yet?
I could use it now.

Do you live in MI? I feel very sorry for the effects of this but at this point, I see that the positive effects of this bailout would probably be short term and then we'd be back to where we are now.
I've been asking the question of exactly what are the auto companies going to do with the money.
I want to know. What good does it do to build one car if no one buys it?
If the goal to build cars or is the goal to pay off debts of the auto makers? I don't know. I want to know.
A bit of encouraging news: I heard on TV today that the Cadillac Escalade is the number one car target of theives. This must mean there's a demand for the cars. At lease someone is willing to steal them.
I'm not trying to be funny. These are legitimate questions that I have not heard anyone ask.

You would think differently if you lived in Michigan. I don't think so. Did you support bail outs for Eastern North Carolina when the tobacco farms tanked, and the textile mills went to China, and the furniture makers went to Mexico?
To: rvoitier
Classic example of liberal logic and analytical skills.

Actually if you read the plan they are radically altering the way they do business. And the unions have made adjustments and are willing to make more. They are cutting lines and have already cut wages.
The Chevy line is an award winner and a good car. I have had 5 Cavaleres and the present one has 177K with only plugs and wires.
We have been in a recession here for 5 years with Jenny. It will be a for sure DEPRESSION if the companies fail. Ford will be OK. They ask for no money. I posted the top 5 cars for theives and 4 were American made. And you ask good guestions.
