Islam Orthodoxy Fuels Islamofascist Action

About a year ago, maybe two now, time flies, we got in a fender bender and the man who drove the tow-truck was from the Middle East somewhere. I took a leap and said to him, "Asalam Alakum" or roughly "peace be unto you" (a fairly universal greeting) in Arabic. He was delighted. Asked how much Arabic I knew and started freely talking. Within two minutes, he was decrying "the Jews" and spewing venom in casual tones. He would be considered a moderate Muslim.

The title of this piece is highly offensive to members of the Orthodox Church. Why not “Islamic Catholicism” or “Islamic Protestantism”?

btw, the Western Church (aka the Catholic Church) IS Orthodox and the Eastern Orthodox Churchs are the Apostolic Catholic and Orthodox Church

Are you just ignorant?
Orthodox literally means "correct as written" or as used "conforming to established doctrine especially in religion".

Had the title been "Orthodoxy Fuels Islamofascist Action", you would have more of a point, but not really. What PArt of "Islam" as a modifier -and it should have been "Islamic" or "Muslim"- don't you understand?
