We would like to take the opportunity to remember our friend, Tony Snow and to send Christmas wishes and prayers to his family and friends.
Please post your messages here.
Thank you for doing this! I am glad that so many are here to remember our great FRiend!
The holidays are always so difficult the first year after the death of a spouse. I know, because that is part of my story.
May the Lord walk with you and the children during this difficult time.
A Blessed and Merry Christmas to the Snow family!
Tony was one in a million, a class act and a man of integrity. May your wonderful memories of him give you comfort at this time of year and always.
Mornings certainly have not been the same since the Snowman's radio show left the airwaves.
I’ll be thinking of Tony while I watch “It’s a Wonderful Life” this Christmas. Tony is like George Bailey, the world is a much better place.
Thank you, LUV W! You gave me the idea!
Christmas Greetings and Blessings to the Snow family. Tony was a good man.
Jill, if you read this tribute from Freepers around the world, I hope you can once again be feel a " happy" glow with the impact your husband had on so many people
I know you and the children miss him terribly and it will be a difficult time for Christmas, as I am sure it was for Thanksgiving.
I experienced your husband as such a complete human - in a world where there are so many phony's & jerks in his profession. He stood shoulders above his colleagues in his professionalism. wit, intelligence & kind manner - while on the job... and off the job, he showed us how to be a great dad, faithful & loving husband and how to face adversity when cancer claimed residence in the Snow household.
His determination, faith in God and peace throughout the journey were noted by all & admired by most (we know the RATS dont count!!!)
I am so very sorry you are now faced with raising your children alone & must face the other issues of life without his help & strong shoulder. I pray God with provide you an extra measure of peace this holiday season & His love for you will permeate your home every day.
Thank you for sharing Tony with us - he blessed, encouraged, uplifted & set an example for us daily.
We will NEVER forget Tony Snow!!!
I am very sorry for your loss, Salvation.
Thank you for such a kind message for the family and friends of Tony Snow.
Thank you, RasterMaster! That’s a great picture of Tony and a wonderful mug!
Thank you, DTogo!
I love that movie, but I will point out that unlike George Bailey, Tony didn’t argue that he’d had a raw deal in life and Tony didn’t need to have that kind of extreme proof to know that he made a difference in many people’s lives.
Thank you, DollyCali! :)
Surferboy has the link to this thread and will forward it along.
Thank you to Surferboy and to everyone who posted kind messages to this thread! :)

Dear SnowKids,
Please accept all of our warmest wishes that, although your first Christmas without your Dad is bound to hurt quite a bit, you will be still be able to find the amazing joy in all the presents he remembered to leave behind for you. No, not the ones under the tree, the ones in your hearts.
You guys may have probably already figured this out by now, but every memory your Dad ever made with you is a fantastic gift that you'll be able to open this Christmas & reopen next Christmas and indeed continue to reopen every day of your lives whenever you feel like you need a new one.
I'm sure the three of you will find out soon if you haven't yet already that, unlike other people, our Moms & Dads are never really able to leave us completely. Our parents are so much a part of who we are & they've imprinted themselves so deeply on our own souls that, whether they're living across the country or waiting for us in heaven, all we ever have to do to be with them again is wrap our hearts as tightly around our memories of them as we can.
So, though it may still terrifically painful to do it at first, be sure to unwrap as many of those memories of your Dad that you can bear this December 25th. Because unlike a bicycle or an ipod, the more you use your most cherished remembrances of him, the newer they actually stay.
May this Christmas & all the Christmases to come fill your hearts with the generosity of your Dad's beautiful spirit which lives on in you, SnowKids, his much-loved children.
Oh wow, leilani! That’s beautiful!
Oh well, it's the thought that counts! ;-)
Thanks for doing this, sl, it's just lovely.
LOL
I miss the editing feature as well, but on the other hand, it spices up the conversation if I amke a ytop.
:p
Thank you for such a kind message, leilani!
Thanks for the ping, SL. I saw the ping yesterday, but for some reason it caught me off guard and I couldn’t reply at the time.
Last night I did a little shopping and was looking for an inexpensive cuff bracelet. Right at the front was all this snowflake jewelry. I thought of all of the Snowflakes. I had to get a bracelet and earrings.
In the middle of writing this, I got word that one of my coworkers was killed last night in a car accident. She was a great, bright, lady who was very fun and full of like, like Tony. Life is too short. Hug your family and friends and tell them you love them. You just never know what life has around the next corner.
Oh no, retrokitten! I will keep your coworker’s family and friends in my prayers!
Thank you for the story about the snowflake bracelet and earrings.
