North Texas Should Be On Alert For Terrorism Experts Say
NationalTerrorAlert ^ | 12/8/09

Another terrorist attack could hit the United States in the next five years — and North Texas could be a key target next time.

By 2013, the U.S. “more likely than not” could be hit by another deadly attack, this time using something possibly like anthrax, according to the new report, World at Risk.

Officials released the report by the Commission on the Prevention of WMD Proliferation and Terrorism not to scare Americans but to point out that the government isn’t doing enough to

The only one that’s here (and they don’t exactly have a high profile building for their HQ) is ExxonMobil.

Hunt has a nice new building on Woodall-Rogers.

Pantex

Pantex isn't in North Texas. It's in the Panhandle, as the name suggests.

“But anyway, I now understand that it is now a Gentleman’s Club. A money-making business. Not saying its right, but you have to acknowledge that they bring in the cash.”

Oh no. I ate there just a few months ago. Like the swing, like the cheese and love the prime rib there. There was a nude bar right next door at that time. Are you sure Old San Francisco is no more?

The Alamo is not anywhere near North Texas. It is 5 hours south.

No. The panhandle would be more West Texas.

The only target that would really worry me here in North Texas would be Beslan-style attacks on some of the larger schools we have in the area.

Yeah. I know. Neither is the intersection of 410&I35 shown in the article.

Take a guess where that would be, Mr. Smarmy?

LOL.

Anyhow, fyi, I was responding to Spykter who said Texas doesn't have any buildings with a "world profile." Yes, we do. Move along.

That reminds me of a sign in Houston, on the Beltway, that says Downtown with the word Austin under it.

Of course, 410 is in San Antonio, as is the sign to Laredo. People who don't know Texas don't really believe how far it is to get anywhere.

I like the signs on I10 in Tucson:

WEST: Phoenix
EAST: El Paso

(True, but nothing in New Mexico worth mentioning!)

Don't say that to anyone from NM!!! They hate Texans enough as it is. (I was married to one, and have dated others.)

I went to WTSU (now WT A&M). There is nothing between Amarillo and the North Pole but a barbed wire fence.

I was flying from DFW to LA once. The pilot came on the intercom and said that El Paso was just below us, and that now we were half way to LA.
