A source said today that Gov. Rod Blagojevich was taken into federal custody at his North Side home this morning. The U.S. attorney's office would not confirm the information, and a spokesman for the governor did not immediately return a phone call for comment.

Well...maybe it was someone who realized that these types of ‘outrageous’ things were illegal and unethical. Maybe one of the good guys in our country.
When I find ‘The Book of Answers’, I'll be looking DOWN!!
Drudge has a picture of Obama on his page and “Bad Day” title under it. Lol, Rezko, Blagojevich, citizenship, they are piling up and he's not even President Elect yet.
Bush paybacks for BHO bashing him for two or more years. W’s checkmate.
The Trib is in this up to their eyeballs ...

Ryan married actress Jeri Ryan in 1991; together they have a son, Alex Ryan. They divorced in 1999 in California, and the records of the divorce were sealed at their mutual request. Five years later, when Ryan’s Senate campaign began, the Chicago Tribune newspaper and WLS-TV, the local ABC affiliate, sought to have the records released.

Subsequent to his withdrawal from the U.S. Senate race in Illinois, Jack Ryan has characterized what happened to him as a “new low for politics in America”. According to Ryan, it was unprecedented in American politics for a newspaper to sue for access to sealed custody documents.

Check out #844.
I’ve been thinking about Blago’s wife since I last posted. It’s possible she could become a bargaining chip between Fitzgerald and Blago. She’s certainly culpable. But if Blago has the information she could be used by Fitzgerald to get that through a deal. A legal quid pro quo.
Others have mentioned the Tribune/Obama connection. It would seem that sometime before November 13th someone tipped off the Obama camp about something because Jarrett suddenly removes herself from contention. And she was the ostensible favorite of Obama. And it was during this time that the Tribune had to have been in contact with the Feds. Speculation for sure but interesting stuff.
Getting back to the wife. If she is a bargaining chip it may not lead to Obama. If they backed off soon enough there may not be enough there to proceed. But we don’t know what’s there so again that’s speculation.
There’s really just too much we don’t know this early. And based on how this rolls out we may not learn anywhere near all there is. Sad, but entirely possible.
Put panties on his head and let’s get some solid intel!
These are the ones up for consideration from a politico article.
Tammy Duckworth: Duckworth is the favorite of the Washington establishment,....
Emil Jones: As president of the state Senate,
Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr.: He’s has been publicly campaigning for the spot,
Lisa Madigan: Selecting the popular attorney general,
Rep. Danny Davis: One of the most liberal members of the House,

If Blogo called BHO an mfer, he might sing like a canary about BHO. When bad guys are in trouble, they doublecross other bad guys.
Yes he did, did, did;
Yes he did, did, did;
Yes he did, did, did;
Yes he did!

Blagojevich sends warning to Obama
Chicago Tribune RedEye Edition (IL) - Saturday, September 20, 2008
Author: Chicago Tribune
Democratic Gov. Blagojevich warned home-state presidential contender Barack Obama he is falling into a Republican trap by siding against the governor in a battle over ethics legislation that is dominating state politics.
Blagojevich ‘s aggressive fundraising is the target of the original ethics bill, which was overwhelmingly supported by Democrats and Republicans alike in the state legislature. It would prohibit state contractors and those seeking state business worth $50,000 or more from donating to the official who doles out the work. The governor rewrote the bill to include a variety of side issues and critics charge Blagojevich ‘s move was an attempt to sabotage the original measure.
On Thursday, Senate President Emil Jones said he bowed to a request from Obama and agreed to call senators into session next week to consider an override of Blagojevich ‘s changes, which the House has previously done. Obama was trying to forestall a home-state controversy involving Jones, his political godfather, from becoming an issue on the national campaign trail.

BTW, an apology would be nice when you call someone out when you don't know the facts.
Women can’t testify against their husbands but if she has committed alleged crimes, she’s indictable.
Check this out and note the date! VR out per her statement to the Trib, and Durbin runs interference. IMO, the sh!t hit the fan around 11/12/08.
Obama Leaving Senate on Sunday - President-Elect to Bypass Special Session on Financial Crisis
Washington Post, The (DC) - Friday, November 14, 2008
Author: Michael A. Fletcher and Peter Slevin, Washington Post Staff Writers
EXCERPT
Obama, who is not close to Blagojevich, has said he intends to stay out of the discussion about a successor. Sen. Richard J. Durbin (D-Ill.) said this week that he hopes to discuss a shortlist of his own with Blagojevich.
Check out my post above.
When did the media spin that Obama would have to give up his blackberry? Was that on or around Nov. 12 or 23rd? Drudge had it.
According to post #825 Blagojevich is on record, albeit just prior to the election, that he had some plans regarding filling the Senate seat he would be discussing with Obama after the election “if all goes well”.
Another indication that the two were in consideration on the issue...
What a rat’s nest. We have pictures of Emil with Auchi too as I recall from a few months back. Barack plays the Chicago game and every reporter worth their salt knows it. They also know that Rezko and Blago have connections going back years to both..but now we are suppose to believe that Obama,Axelrod and Rahm are all clean as the driven snow!
My contempt for the media cannot possibly get any worse.
