NEW YORK The New York Times is reporting that NBC has signed its late-night star Jay Leno to a contract that will keep him at the network and move him to prime time.
Under the new deal, Leno, whose "Tonight" show hosting job will go to Conan O'Brien, would have a new show airing 10 p.m. Eastern every weeknight.
The deal reportedly will be announced Tuesday.

Leno is the unfunniest man in the USA. Proof was when the writers were on strike and he had to come up with his own jokes.
The 10 o’clock spot will kill him. Good riddance!

Doesn’t this move undermine Conan’s big moment in the sun? He is still technically #2 man with this move. Leno was offered big bucks from Fox...gotta wonder how much of that bailout money G/E got was slipped to Leno to do this.

NBC is selling out for the buck.
Leno should have been canned long ago for his continued inappropriate bashing of NBC (justified or not).
Personally, I am looking forward to Conan.

I’m pleased to report that other than football games, I’ve watched less than one hour of TV since October, when I became completely disgusted with the MSM’s election bias.

The death knell of the Tonight Show, unless they're letting adolescents stay up that late to watch him...the level of the audience should match the age level of the humor.

Not sure if you are being sarcastic but for those playing the home game...
Conan O’Brien - New Tonight Show Host
Jimmy Fallon - New Host of Late Night - From SNL
Carson Daly - Carson Daly show - MTV Alumni..been on the air for about 7 years now I would say. Comes on from 1:30 til 2:05

Strange wheeling and dealing at NBC! Leno may not be great but David Letterman is downright boring. Conan looks like a robot alien.
I’d rather watch Johnny Carson reruns.

This must be due to the networks telling, in articles today, they cannot continue to provide programs 22 hours a day, 7 nights a week. Wonder what is to come of the 10 dramas?

I’ve been watching a lot less TV since the election myself. Lately, I put on my headphones and listen to music, or play guitar in the bedroom.

No only that, he and Conan have gotten so offensive, pushing limits more and more. So much so they are unwatchable.
