Proof was when the writers were on strike and he had to come up with his own jokes That reminds me. The rumor was that Jeff Zucker was out for blood win the writers went out on strike. With this move, Zucker effectively puts out of business more than a hundred (possibly many more) of writers. To your point, I don't generally watch much TV, but did catch Leno during the strike. Sure, it wasn't great, but it wasn't that much worse than it normally is. FWIW
