4 night time talk shows on NBC...a true echo chamber of talentless hacks...

Leno, Conan, Fallon, and Daly.

Junk

Leno is the unfunniest man in the USA. Proof was when the writers were on strike and he had to come up with his own jokes.

The 10 o’clock spot will kill him. Good riddance!

NBC is selling out for the buck.

Leno should have been canned long ago for his continued inappropriate bashing of NBC (justified or not).

Personally, I am looking forward to Conan.

""Tonight" show hosting job will go to Conan O'Brien"

The death knell of the Tonight Show, unless they're letting adolescents stay up that late to watch him...the level of the audience should match the age level of the humor.

Strange wheeling and dealing at NBC! Leno may not be great but David Letterman is downright boring. Conan looks like a robot alien.

I’d rather watch Johnny Carson reruns.

This must be due to the networks telling, in articles today, they cannot continue to provide programs 22 hours a day, 7 nights a week. Wonder what is to come of the 10 dramas?

Leno... would have a new show airing 10 p.m. Eastern every weeknight.

I'm shocked that a major network would give up so much time for yet-another talk show. Isn't 10:00 pm a pretty valuable spot for NBC? Over the years they've run such hits as "Law and Order," "ER," "LA Law," and "Hill St Blues" in that slot.

The local NBC affiliates must be cursing NBC corporate. Leno would be a terrible lead-in to the 11pm/10pm news - the most important time period for local news.

I suspect producing five one hour shows with Leno each week is considerably cheaper than producing five one hour dramas, sit-coms, etc.

Leno is a nice guy and I like his car collection, but as a comedian, I’ve never seen why he is so highly rated.

He has the most annoying habit—that of adding comments after the punchline—that makes him totally unfunny.

Letterman was the natural progression from Carson.

He had a good show after the Tonight show.

It's all about egos.

Carson knew that Letterman would have a very good show if he took over for him.

Carson also knew that Leno, always a second rate comedian, wouldn't do as good a job, therfore making Carson's legacy much better.

And Letterman was quite bitter and went downhill ever since.

O’Brian was a writer (behind the scenes which is where he should have stayed) and is a third rate comedian.

I don't get why people like to watch him and think he is funny.

But then I never got the appeal of the bodily-function humorists...Myers, Wayne and Garth etc.

Leno decided to retire and not renew his contract, so Conan was given a quite expensive contract and a date to take over the Tonight show (Carson must be spinning in his grave).

Leno changed his mind and naturally Conan, seeing himself as much better than Leno or any other comedian for that matter (he believes his own hype), would not let his contract go.

He made it clear he would have no problem sitting around with Leno continuing the show and him (O'Brian) getting his millions per year from his contract.

NBC, naturally didn't want that, so Leno was out.

And now he is “back” with a prime time show?

As the world turns...

Yet another reason for me to continue avoiding NBC and the other networks (and most other TV for that matter).

Who gives a shi% what Leno does, says, thinks or anything else!? Just another liberal piss ant that dares not offend the “chosen one” in ANY of his corny, over rehearsed “monologues”. Screw him! People like him can only be hurt by falling ratings. And I pray that’s what happens.
