Probably a navy plane there, F-18 perhaps. Never rely on the MSM to get it right the first time.

It’s University City, just west of 805. Needless to say it’s the only thing on local news i San Diego at the moment.
The pilot was seen with his parachute and there are big military emergency response vehicles on site now.

Near Governor Drive on Higgins and Whitman or Litman Streets.
Very near Uni High School and many bigger multi-family homes, so he avoided where there’d have been more people on the ground, though one home, at least, seems completely destroyed.
SDPD is moving people away from the crash site because of chemicals.
Local news KFMB.com has people with it on film and video.
