As I said elsewhere.......
Great. Now nutroots on the right are as apoplectic about the SCOTUS decision IRT OHB as the nutroots on the left were about Bush v. Gore.
Time to by stock in the companies that produce Paxil, Zolof, etc, etc.
I feel like kicking a hole through the wall.
No surprise here.
KANGAROO court.
.
Well, so much for all that claptrap about how wonderful it was about Roberts and Alito being on the SCOTUS.
All it would have taken was Roberts, Alito, Scalia and Thomas to have advanced this case.
The SCOTUS has just pulled the life support on our Republic.
Now the battle moves into areas where the 0bamunists will be utterly unable to prevail, and FR posting guidelines will not allow me to spell out details.
It really is time to move on.
Is it troubling that so much of Barack Obama's past, including his original birth certificate, has been hidden from sight? Hell, yes - if you ask me, but the truth is that this is a political issue more than a judicial one. Most people simply do not care. If they did, they would not have voted for the guy, or at least demanded that the news media do their job. They didn't, and I don't remember a huge outcry among the broader population about it.
Rightly or wrongly, the public wanted "change", and man, did they ever get it. They were sick of Bush, sick of weasel-y, spineless Republicans, and in a generally foul mood. In such an environment, the matter of Obama's record and origins took a back seat to the overwhelming (stupid, perhaps, but overwhelming) desire for something New and Different.
Well, the public got what it wanted and although we may not all deserve it, the majority certainly does. So, I've decided that David Horowitz is correct: let it go. Leave the windmill-tilting for Moonbats; for one thing they're much better at it and each new "cause" just makes them all crazier than a sack of loons.
Reality is much harder work, and much of the Left is not real accomplished at that. Let's get on with it then, and focus on formulating an effective and principled opposition rather than haggling over a technical qualification that although Constitutionally defined, has little real meaning and even less public support.
In other news, the Pope is Catholic!
ORDERS IN PENDING CASES
DONOFRIO, LEO C. V. WELLS, NJ SEC. OF STATE
The application for stay addressed to Justice Thomas and referred to the Court is denied.
...versus...
CERTIORARI DENIED
We’ll either have to wait for court comments (if any), or info from Leo, to make the other pending cases better.
Donofrio, Cort, and “Dr Orly” (the attorney in Keyes’ case) communicate regularly on the cases. I KNOW Donofrio is passing on “lessons learned” to make their cases stronger.
December 8, 2008: The constitutionalist republic of the US becomes a de facto empire.
Too bad? What? Are you ready to accept an obfuscatory “decision”? Someone is perpetrating a fraud in and on our nation by hiding personal information; he’s also sitting in waiting for the highest office in America and clearance for World Intelligence.
Imagine where we would be if the Revolutionaries rolled over and waved their white flags.
No one steps on our Constitution. This won’t be over until someone uncovers the truth.
It’s not over yet. All it will take is a lone Congressman to raise an objection on this issue when the electoral college votes are tallied next month...and state electors could also bring this matter to an ugly head in a few days.
What is with all the hysteria? I was under the impression that this was the weakest of the challenges and that there are a handful of others. I wouldn’t want some of you folks in my foxhole if this is what you become at the first sign of adversity. Wait for the fight to end before you call a winner.
While it saddens me to see the SCOTUS take a pass on this, the part that hurts the most is to see our own people say that those to took Clinton and Obama to task, were unrealistic, just not savvy in political or criminal matters.
Folks, if we are going to cave on obstruction of justice, witness tampering, Constitutional requirements for our Presidents, let’s just pack it in. The nation is lost.
Our side appointed seven of the nine current sitting SCOTUS Justices. And still we seldom get a ruling that is sound on important matters.
Looks like Schwarzenegger should just put his own name on the ballots and run in 2012. Nobody give a s—t.
Can’t say I’m surprised. VERY disappointed, but not surprised.
