Sarah Palin has been cleared of abusing her office in the "Troopergate" case by a state personnel board, which over-turned the findings of an earlier probe by the state legislator. The investigation into the dismissal of the state's public safety commissioner found that the Alaskan governor had not abused the power of her office by firing Walt Monegan. It also cleared her from ethics violations in respect to her dealings regarding Michael Wooten, the state trooper involved in a contentious divorce and custody battle with her sister. The report, released the day before the US presidential elections, concluded there was "no probable cause" that the Republican vice presidential candidate had violated the state's executive ethics act in dismissing Mr Monegan. Last month an investigation commissioned by the state legislature found Mrs Palin had violated ethics rules when she dismissed Mr Monegan in July, allegedly because he refused to fire Mr Wooten. Mrs Palin requested the second investigation be conducted by the state personnel board after alleging the legislature's probe was politically motivated. The board's report, posted on the Anchorage Daily News website, said that "absent from the evidence reviewed is any assertion that the Governor directed anyone in the Department of Public Safety to terminate Trooper Wooten, or directed anyone on her staff to seek the termination of Trooper Wooten."

Old news—which was still not covered by the msm. The libs and the good ole boy “conservatives” are really afraid of what havoc Sarah could cause next time around.

This news has been out for a while, but it came too late to help Governor Palin shake off the smears that French and Branchflower hurled at her at Obama's behest.
Personally, I hope she comes down on those two like one of Odin's valkyries.

The AP had a totally different headline on that one when it happened, whereby the headline implied Gov Plain had been found guilty. Of course Yahoo and Google led with the false AP headline as usual.
Guys, the AP and the liberal media are the greatest threat to the well being of this country.

Perhaps 0bama's AG, Eric Holder, can get her indicted for for being a revolutionary Republican and have her swing on the same gallows as the "Compasionate Conservative" & Co.
Well have some fun then. ;)

Yes. They call him the Lawgiver. I think his name’s Solon or Solomon or something.

Obama is going to “abuse his power” by firing ppl from the government the first moment he get into office. Anyone want to make a scandal out of it?
How dare he fire Bush appointees! Thats an abuse of power and firing ppl for political reasons! This has never happened before!

Good! Now let's go after the a**hole from the Legislature that brought the false charges.
Charge him, convict him, and run him out of the state!
