At 14, William Balfour spoke so softly that the counselor at the youth shelter could barely hear him.
Depressed and angry, William already had been arrested on charges of heroin possession and possession of a stolen vehicle. He had little recollection of his father, who had been sent to prison for murder years earlier. His mother's efforts to discipline him had turned abusive, state records show.
William said he knew his mother had given him up, turning him over to the state child welfare system.
"But my daddy didn't," he told the counselor, perking up for the first time during the interview. "He still wants me. I know he does."

Well, here we go again with another misunderstood little sweetheart who turned into a vicious killer. Boo-freeking-hooo.
Fathers don’t matter, remember?
That's odd, Gangster Disciples usually produce a lot of Ivy League bound youths.
I posted this because it made me think.
The Disciples were nowhere near as fierce as the Blackstone Rangers were at their 1960s-1970s peak. The latter went Muslim, however (as P-Stone Nation), and have never been the same since.

Just points up clearly how the Democrats, and the welfare programs they champion, have almost completely RUINED black families.
Perhaps the rest of his family should be rounded up and executed along with him. These so called people are sub human.
In all seriousness, cases like this highlight the importance of fathers—particularly as role models for young boys.
I take exception to that. I do think it is instructive to observe what happens to children whose mothers give them to the government to raise.
Very much so.
