Why the stories about Obama's birth certificate will never die

Dec. 5, 2008 | Barack Obama can't be president: He wasn't really born in Hawaii, and the certification of live birth his campaign released is a forgery. He was born in Kenya. Or maybe Indonesia. Or, wait, maybe he was born in Hawaii -- but that doesn't matter, since he was also a British citizen at birth because of his father, and you can't be a "natural-born citizen" in that case. (But then, maybe his "father" wasn't really his father; maybe his real dad was an obscure communist poet. Or Malcolm X.)

He was adopted in hawaii..and maybe elsewhere..but his original birth certificate is sealed due to the adoption.

You can see online that he stated that he had not gone by any other names. I dont remember the link. I believe it was with the State bar.

I think probably his real birth certificate contains embarrassing information about him ... perhaps his father was listed as unknown, or his birth name was Barry Dunham. Something like that which does not fit the story line in his books.

It could be something as simple as "Muslim" being listed as his religion. Obviously there is something embarrassing on there even if it proves he was born in the USA.

Amended birth certificates in Hawaii show all the amendments. They show the original items that are amended with a line drawn through them along with the amended item. They don’t just trash the original and whip up a new one with the new information. And any new information has to be substantiated.

You would think after getting the popular vote he would stop all of these law suits and suck up the embarrassment before the election. Example: my father did that, but I grew up Christian after we left Indonesia. See how easy and who's around to dispute it.

At this point IMO he's got a major problem and is trying to hide it. He's holding back the tide, because the allegations will not go away until he is proven ineligible or he reveals the documents and proves us loons wrong.

I do remember that. I remember thinking no one seemed to worry about embarrassment to Bush regarding the release of his college transcripts or his military records. I know I am comparing apples to oranges but the double standard of investigation into GOP candidates versus Democrats is simply over the top.

Would the kind of Birth Certificate that Obama showed also include all amendments?

If so, it is missing crucial information.

Or is it just the long version that shows the amendments.

However, I am not sure that is correct when it comes to adoption. But maybe it is when it is not both parents giving up the rights to the child.

With an adoption, wouldn’t it show the Indonesian as the father and not Obama, Sr.?

Perhaps he has shown an authentic birth certificate to someone, but factcheck.org is not even close to being a reliable, unbiased site. I wouldn't believe them if they told me the sky was blue. Let a reasonably reliable agency check it out. In fact, why wouldn't Obama just release it to the public in general? Let his buddies at CNN, ABC, CBS, Fox, and wherever else takes turns checking it out? He could put this whole thing to rest right now. So far, he has stuck with the bogus "factcheck" group that he has in his pocket.

I agree this is not going away and the truth will eventually come out. People are curious about celebrities and want to know ever detail. Look at how much we know about Brittney. The obsession with Obama will lead to more stories surfacing even while the press tries to protect him. It won't just be people on the Right or PUMAs asking these questions. The people who read The Enquirer will want to know all about Stanley Dunham.

There are claims that the certificate of live birth he provided in June is a forgery. Here is a link showing the extensive work of a document expert (Ron Polarik) with reasons why it is a forgery:

If Polarik is wrong and the BC is not a forgery it will be very easy for Obama to prove it's authentic. All he has to do is provide a certified vault copy of his long form Hawaiian BC. Many courts have asked for this, he has refused so far to provide it.

He also made it available to WorldNetDaily and they also concluded it's authentic.

I am not aware of a single media outlet that was denied access to it.

Let a reasonably reliable agency check it out.

How about the Hawaii department of public health? They have already verified that he was born in Honolulu.

This guy is a jerk. He doesn’t answer ANY of these arguments.

What we know from careful argumentation that is now all over the net is that Obama refuses to produce his birth certificate or virtually any other records. That is totally unprecedented. What is he hiding?

What we also know is that the COLB that has been posted on three different web sites, and vouched for by Obama’s Fight the Smears site and FactCheck, is a rather poor forgery.

What we also know is that NOBODY in the press will do real investigative reporting on any of this. The refuse to. The don’t dare. They are obviously afraid of what they might turn up. They know that Obama is a racist, that he has Muslim sympathies, that he has active connections with Communists that go all through his life since he was a baby.

They can’t find out who his friends were? Who his roommates were in college? What doctors and nurses helped to deliver him at birth? Everything is off limits except to parrot back whatever he says.

True enough. There are those who would believe it was fake even if he released it and had it examined by any authority who wanted to look, but I am not one of them. I'm not sure if there is anything to this birth certificate controversy or not, but I just want to see this idiot show enough respect to the American people at least to make an attempt to verify his standing. If he had shown a verifiable birth certificate, and some people were still spouting conspiracy stuff, I would say they were whackjobs. But, instead, he has spent serious money and effort to avoid providing even the most basic documentation about himself. McCain showed his stuff. Obama should show his.

Remember how the Left was always bitching about Bush being the most secretive administration ever? Well, Obama hasn't even been sworn in yet and we can't get the son of a bitch even to verify he's eligible. How's that for secretive?

Not true. The official report of the Hawaii officials, after Obama went to Hawaii last, only says that they have the original birth certificate in their vault. It says NOTHING about where he was born. It says NOTHING about the COLB posted on the internet. Look up the report and read it, don’t read the lies repeated by the MSM.
