The head of the Hawaiian Dept of Health, Fukino, is a lib. Lingle is not. She even refused to attend his meeting for Govenors in Philadelphia. I’m not buying the conspiracy. Fukino stated publicly that there is an original BC on file but never said he was born in Hawaii. Lingle has said nothing.

So they’ll very carefully leave a wide berth for Bambi to slither through while somehow addressing the issue for all time. At least that’s my prediction.
While the state electors are “pledged” to vote for the candidate of the party that chose them, nothing in the Constitution requires them to do so. In rare instances, an elector will defect and not vote for his or her party’s candidate. Such “faithless” votes rarely change the outcome of the election and laws of some states prohibit electors from casting them.

Our founding fathers thought it likely enough to put forth the 20th Amendment. “If a President shall not have been chosen before the time fixed for the beginning of his term, or if the President elect shall have failed to qualify,”... But they never said anything about aliens kidnapping president elects, so I think your assessment of likelihood is off by a few orders of magnitude.

Kevmo: You think aliens are more likely to kidnap Obama than the supreme court is likely to take this case. So if you’re offering 10:1 on the supremes, what are your odds for Aliens? 9:1? 8:1? By all means, let us know. Exactly how am I supposed to trust the word of a loon like you? That’s my assessment as well, a split-the-baby decision.

Maybe we have a role in this. It would not be the fault of any justice if O was trying to screw with the Constitution. It is O’s fault, 100%. Maybe it is OUR JOB to get that word out, if it comes to that. SCOTUS justices should be compelled to uphold the Constitution. Of course the O-bots and O-Lawyers will be ready to attack them if they DARE question him. However, maybe we can help mitigate that.
You assume that by "a later date" I mean only while 0bama is president -- I do not. Should we discover in twenty, thirty years, perhaps even after his death, that 0bama never did meet the Constitutional requirements to be elected to the office of president, that in fact, it was ignored, it sets the precedent for any future citizen to ignore any portion in the future, citing this as his validation for it. I am not a lawyer, am going on what I understand a precedent to be ... if any lawyer can point out my error, I will stand corrected.

Hypothetical.....what if 0bama was 25 years of age and made it to this point as President-Elect. Why does the SCOTUS need the unwashed masses to present ‘cases’ to them when one of the Justices could bring the matter to the court on his OWN.
