Breaking: India Receives New Attack Threats (Airline Hijackings)
Sky News ^ | December 04, 2008

India has put all of its major airports on high alert after receiving threats that planes may be about to be hijacked.

Airport security has been tightened and travellers are being asked to check in three hours before their flights.

Air force chief Fali Homi Major said: "This is based on a warning, which has been received and we are prepared as usual."

Indian TV reported that the alert was issued after an email from Deccan Mujahideen, the same group that claimed the Mumbai attacks.

Sky's India correspondent Alex Crawford said: "The Indian Bureau for Civil Aviation has warned of an attempt to hijack one or more planes at Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore airports.

"Chennai airport is also on hijack alert - this is where the England cricket team is expected to play one of their test matches."

Indian Defence Minister A K Antony has told military chiefs to be prepared for attacks from the air and sea in the wake of growing criticism about slack security after the Mumbai attacks.

“Their culture is SO not about use of force.”

And therefore extremely vulnerable to violence from a culture (Islamofascism) for which force and brutality are the imperatives.

I don’t agree that “they deserve each other” at all. Muslims are the aggressors and have responded to every attempt at conciliation with further aggression. They’ve been aggressive and vicious to India for centuries.

You are so correct.
I have an Enfield .303 and a Mosin-Nagants 7.62 and they both shoot real nice.

Yes. This reminds me of an old saying I can only paraphrase —

‘it is useless for the sheep to declare their vegetarianism when the prowling wolves remain of a different opinion’

or something like that ;-)

Still 5 - 10 terrorists around that are capable and ready with alternate plans I am sure to do the nasty from the hotel.

Expect them to move soon, they can’t stay hidden forever especially since one that is alive and in custody is talking.

RE .303 Enfield: The Afghanis taught the Soviet mudcrunchers a painful lesson about what an Enfield SMILEY III (or No.4MKI) in the hands of a RIFLEMAN can do for eight years.

But I would think a small select-fire SMG, or AK Krinkov-type, or carbine would be better in an airport; CQB stuff comes into play when there’s armed looneys running around in those tight environs, and the shorter carbines/SMGs might be better suited than a full-size battle rifle.

Just my humble opinion...

I agree with your assessment. I just wanted the Indians to start working those old Enfield bolts and sending some rounds downrange, helping some folks out and supressing terorist’s firepower and putting them down, it could’ve been done.

I’m reminded of indigenous folks with single-shot shotguns taped at the pistolgrip to the receivers w/electrical tape in 3rd world countries fighting the oppressors in the Congo but alas, they were overpowered by communist supplied troops.

“..it could’ve been done...”

It absolutely COULD have been - but I think, as an earlier poster stated, the whole non-violence mentality thing comes into play, plus the outright SHOCK of having immediate savagery and violent bloodletting in your face, etc., simply may have overwhelmed whomever was there that was armed.

And yes, I agree with you - I would have DEARLY loved to see the muslim A*holes DRILLED by a guard or two...that’s what an AMERICAN would have done after sufficiently recovering his wits from the initial surprise.

But we Americans are used to (and resigned to) the possibility of violence against ourselves (hence, concealed carry (”legal” and otherwise) by at least half of the gun-owning population in the country). That culture is basically used (conditioned??) to being treated like disarmed sheep (for which I fault ANY country for even LETTING that condition come about - people should NEVER let themselves be disarmed).

When your disarmed, all you can do is bleed and die. And they did. In droves.

Same as the ships’ crews being siezed by the Somali (muslim) pirates...if those crews were armed, had a little training by a good contract security team or military instructors, those muslim pirate A**holes’ riddle bodies would floating in the ocean right now, instead of holding the boats and crews hostage

If even a few Indians had personal firearms with them, the outcome would have been much different.

It’s a terrible thing when people let themselves be disarmed “for the common good”, or “for the chilruns’” or “to prevent massacres” - oh, wait...can’t use that one anymore, can they?.

Any politician that advocates disarming you is complict in your potential murder. Until we ALL come to that realization, these things will continue. And more people will die needless deaths.

Have the international community declare that parts of Pakistan have become ungovernable and a menace to international security,’’ Robert Kagan, an influential analyst with the Carnegie Endowment, said.
And your response:

This is how it starts.....

Yes.

I have brazenly written on this forum that the world has forgotten what a price was paid by Japan, and what it looked like when that chit was called in.

Drop the Big One as a demonstration on Waziristan. Tell them there’s more from where that came from.

You took the words right out of my mouth, Munz. Someone informed me yesterday that there are 10 terrorists who were trained for these India terror missions. I thought I had heard as much as 15 are missing. They were trained and ready for their mission, their part has not been fulfilled, and I don’t think it will be much longer before they attempt to do what they were trained to do. Not good.
