No. Ah-nold ran AGAINST Tom. Tom was the qualified and accomplished Conservative Republican leader, Ah-nold was the unqualified Socialist creep.

One race where RINO malcontents didn’t cost us.

Are you kidding? A RINO spent a record $6 million against him in the primary - the most ever for a Congressional primary. It's the reason he went into the General Election beaten and bruised, and came damn close to losing. Blame it all on the RINOs.

Thank God.

Tom McC is probably the most brilliant politician in California.

To HEAR him, you would think he should be POTUS.

Sadly, when you SEE him, he looks like a diffident balloon watcher.

I beg to differ

They’re reporting “nearly 1800 votes” but the last I saw was 1556.

I meant the RINOs didn’t cost us this seat. Yeah, they cost us in $$, but I was talking House seats, not money.

McClintock is a superb conservative, but he has zero charisma. He is all substance and no style - an unfortunate combination in this Media Age. But Sacramento’s loss is America’s gain; his congressional star will burn very brightly.

Thanks for the ping, cowgirl. Isn't this the best news? I'm so glad that Brown is done and has no further legal recourse.

Maybe this will be the beginning of the conservative take over in Congress? (I hope, I hope, I hope)

Hey, they worked on his image during his run for gov.!

I can remember a commercial he ran yeeearrrs ago referring to his Scottish heritage and how he was frugal with money. I can't remember what office he was running for, (Dan, do you remember?) but I sure do remember that commercial and his image has come a long way from those days! He's positively a *cool cat* now! LOL

I’ve heard him on the Armstrong and Getty radio show several times. To me, he comes across as sharp, knowledgeable, and on the ball who actually KNOWS what he’s talking about. No, he’s not a charmer but neither is he dry and boring.

My point was that thanks to the RINO we did come very, very close to losing this seat.

I can remember a commercial he ran yeeearrrs ago referring to his Scottish heritage and how he was frugal with money. I can't remember what office he was running for, (Dan, do you remember?)

It was a radio commercial highlighting how tight he is with money. It featured his alleged ancestor Angus McClintock who claimed Tom was "tighter than a bullfrog's backside." That was the 94 Controller's race. (I think his consultant Wayne Johnson won an award for that commercial.)

They also made up a black and white poster that was a take on the 80's era "nerd" poster where there are arrows pointing out all the feature's on a person standing there. In Tom's case it pointed to all his frugal features like the haircut his wife gave him, and the Casio calculator watch he's had for 20 years that he calculates the budget overruns. etc. etc. Tom sent me a signed copy after I spent a day volunteering to drive him around to meetings all over downtown LA so he didn't have to park. It's still in a tube and I really should have it framed and mounted some day.
