I do remember the HYSTERIA!!! Actually, I believed that Cheney should have had to at least release who was there and maybe even what was discussed, though I am not knowledgeable about situations like this. I am not a fan of government secrecy of any kind.
I have been wondering whether this podium and seal of the Office of the President-Elect are related to his stonewalling of the birth certificate issue.
I used to consider this issue to be tinfoil hat stuff, but I’m not so sure anymore. McCain and Cheney had to submit documents to prove their eligibility for the White House. Mitt Romney’s status as a Massachusetts resident was challenged by the Beacon Hill tyrants (Democrats) when he ran for governor. Again, he submitted the required documents and the issue went away. Will Obama do so as well? Perhaps he should.
I don’t want to see any president harassed or treated unfairly, even if I don’t support his policies. However, if there is a true reason why he should have to submit his birth certificate (since he lived overseas for quite a bit of his childhood), I hope the Supreme Court does the right thing ASAP. I lack the expertise to really judge this issue on my own.
However, this issue does show the bias of the media. Were it Bush or Cheney, there would be an endless drumbeat about their secrecy and trampling on the Constitution. After all, poor Cheney can’t even take a couple of hours to announce his heart attack to Norah O’Donnell, the imbecile, without apparently raising questions in her mind about his motives.
The SCOTUS has to at least hear this case to avert a Constitutional crisis of epic proportion.
It would make a mockery of our Constitution.
Emperor Bloomberg has decreed that some dumbass athlete like Plaxico Burress shooting himself in the leg by accident in a club violates the law that he put in place against handguns “and would make a mockery of the law.”
I would think that our Constitution paid for in blood by Patriots and freedom fighters who used unregistered muskets to fight tyranny would be given the same respect.

But this has ramifications beyond 4 or 8 years. This will affect whether we stay a republic (if we even are) or democracy. This isn't about socialism as about outright communism.
This isn't just about the United States, but will affect the rest of the world.
