"a sensible interpretation of the amendment is that it was written to allow the people to raise a militia for protection and to hunt for food." I must have missed the "hunt for food" part?
"Clearly no one needs to raise a militia these days,"
Oh really? Says who?
"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The
strongest reason for the people to retain their right to
keep and bear arms is as a last resort to protect
themselves against tyranny in government."
--Thomas Jefferson, Draft Virginia Constitution (1776)
"Americans have the right and advantage of being armed -
unlike the citizens of other countries whose governments
are afraid to trust the people with arms."

After the last election, the need for a militia has become very real.

Leagues have NO business meddling in the laws of a state. Leagues also have NO business violating the constitutional rights of people within their organizations, imho.
The league should expel that idiot because he broke the law of the state he was in and **had been briefed on** previously. IOW, he had no excuse.

How about we rid the NFL of thugs? I realize that would be about half the league but it is past time we quit pretending. Then take all those thugs and place Mr Fienstein among them in their home turf without a weapon.

Clearly no one needs to raise a militia these days...It is just this sort of thinking that clearly demonstrates that we may need to raise a militia very soon. Not just ot protect us form the foreign aggressor, but also from the enemy within that tyrannize us by taking away our guns and then...?

To begin with, the amendment should be abolished -- a sensible interpretation of the amendment is that it was written to allow the people to raise a militia for protection and to hunt for food. Moron. Public school product, no doubt.

What a bunch of juvenile, ignorant, misguided, and loaded words.
Feinstein, who is overweight because he eats too much, beats the crap out of his wife every night, sexually molest his kids and the kids of his friends, would have fought with the British against those radical people fighting for self reliance and liberty.
