Google bombing
Google bombing is a tactic started by the left to make certain keywords bring up the webpage of certain people.
Examples:
The leftwingers did this to President Bush:
They Google-bombed the keywords "miserable failure" so that when somebody entered those keywords into Google, President Bush's webpage came up.
The same was done for John Kerry when someone entered the keyword "waffles", it led immediately to Kerry's webpage.
One of the earliest and most famous "google bombs" was done to the French by Americans and English. When you enter the keyword phrase "French Military Victories" into Google and hit the "I feel lucky" button; which returns only the first result, you get this page: French Military Victories; which looks like an error page and says that no such page exists and did we mean "French military defeats"?
A good Google bomb can help put this information at the top of Google's SERPs (Search Enging Results Pages) and expose more people to the story. They will not find this story in the MSM, that's for sure.
Copy and paste all the text highlighted in yellow above and paste it into your page's HTML to put a link on your page.
<a href="http://www.wethepeoplefoundation.org/UPDATE/misc2008/ChicagoTribune-ObamaLtr-Nov-2008.pdf" title="is obama a US citizen?">obama citizen</a>
This will produce a link which looks like this: (hold your cursor over the link to see the 'title' text)
Obama citizen
This will now help to build backlinks in Google for anyone who enters the words
Obama citizen |
Do you have an account at Facebook?
Same thing.
How about MySpace?
Another thing you can do is to visit some blogs, and whenever you see the form to submit a comment, put your name as "Obama Citizen", and then your home page as this:
http://www.wethepeoplefoundation.org/UPDATE/misc2008/ChicagoTribune-ObamaLtr-Nov-2008.pdf
Other Ideas
Open an account at Squidoo and write an article using my linking text.
Open an account at Hubpages and write a short article using my linking text.
Look for other places which will let you put up a link like that.
That's about all there is to Google bombing! If you wanted to actually spend money on this, you can go to Backlinks.com and buy some backlinks to the page using the keywords we are using to Google bomb Obambi.
The image below shows you how to make a comment on a blog that will function as a "google bomb" and help push this keyword combination up in the rankings.
Most blogs will have a comment entry form similar to the form above.
One more place you can place a Google bomb that is very effective is on Youtube.
Put up a simple video with the keywords as the title, then in the comments/about section, put in the HTML link as I showed above (in yellow).
Read more about Google Bombs at Wikipedia.
Have fun! :)
BUMP
Too bad this goes to a PDF instead of a text page.
That's why I made this thread.
If you have an HTML page ready to go, we can post it here and tell others to link to it.
We should put up a few such 'googlebombs' as google hand tweaks them when they spot them, and they may very well act on this one if they find this thread.
They hand-tweak the ones that are slanderous, but some oldies still work fine, such as the French Military Victories.

If enough people continue putting these out there, it will have an effect for sure. It's a good idea to use a few keyword sets as well as a few target pages, as they can easily see who and what links to a particular page like this:
link:www.wethepeoplefoundation.org
You can check any links in Google this way.
Done - bump.
Thanks!
Great idea. Maybe we can do it with some good positive information on Sarah Palin too.
It can go on the FR profile page too.
It would work.
Think of the keyword you want... maybe do two at the same time... one for Sarah Palin and a negative one for Hillary.
Copy and paste the yellow highlighted text into an HTML page:
<a href="http://www.hillaryclinton.com/" title="evil shrew">evil shrew</a>
This will produce a link as below:
evil shrew
If enough people do this, when someone types the keyword set "evil shrew" into Google, they will be taken to Hillary's webpage.
Fun, huh?
Good idea. Done.

That’s for your reply on the Christian Science story I posted after reading this.

That would work. Add it to your FR profile for starters! Get all your friends to do the same... etc. The more links, the better.
(Notice how I just put the google 'bomb' in here!) ;)

Copy and paste the yellow highlighted text into your FR profile and/or your webpage/blog to set a few useful Google bombs.

Great Article. Got two links up so far. Will work on more.
Looks like it was too hard to do it to a pdf...
Someone else got one going but it will be killed quickly.
