Sorry, I'm not buying it. It seems simple to me: She can't do him much damage from the Senate, where she doesn't rank. She can do him a lot of damage through self-interested leaking from the State Department. (Here's Exhibit Z, if you needed it, from Elizabeth Drew.) If he fires her she can then run against him and make more trouble.
Even smart, well-advised people make mistakes. I think it's a mistake. Or else there is some other factor at work that we don't know about (e.g., Hillary has the real birth certificate! Joking!)... Two thoughts arise from this projection about Hillary as Sec. of State:
On the one hand: The safety of the free world will be placed in even greater peril than it already is as Hillary leaks State Dept information in order to weaken Obama’s administration.
On the other hand: Obama himself is already a peril to the free world, so if Hillary leaks information to try to discredit Obama, that might actually be all to the good of the free world.
Let the fratricide begin.

when you consider that most of his picks so far have been Clinton retreads, putting her on the inside gives her the ‘power behind the throne’ position.
of course it would be much harder for her to distance herself from his policies should they fail, thereby savign him from embarassment in 2012.
And what is the current status of her inability to serve due to the emolument (sp) issue? Did they lower the salary as they have done in the past?

Hillary’s service as Secretary of State is a preemptive move on Zero’s part. Hillary will replace Biden as VP in the 2012 ticket to make sure women won’t defect to a more vibrant Palin. Biden was clearly a flat-out boner selection.
She has the goods to bring him down. If she had pulled her ace card during the primary, blacks would not showed up and Hillary might have lost to McLame. Its the only thing that explains putting alll the Clinton clan back in power. Hillary wants to be UN sec gen. Or maybe she is just building up her resume for when her and Bill lobby for a high rank in the New World Order.
I moved here almost 4 years ago and I meet republicans who “like” Nappy.
The answer I got once was because she is good on education. But she seems to have really screwed us with illegals.
