There's nothing worse than a long holiday weekend for falling behind on the news. What group of clumsy criminals are we bailing out now? And, gosh, will a zillion dollars be enough? You can lose track. Plus what's happening with Heidi and Spenser?
That's why a website like Free Republic is indispensable. I know most people write it off as the tragic mutterings of a bunch of dandruff-addled, pit-sniffing shut-ins without the social skills to form a lynch mob. But that's an oversimplification.
It's also a news aggregator. With one click not only do I get all the headlines I need, I also find out -- in parenthesis -- how they make me feel.

Real News only takes minutes to post. Spinning it takes hours. Most people, uncluding Brokers, read spin, and LOOSE money on the markets as a result.Its too little too late in their cases.When you invest money based on spin, you almost always Lose.

The first time I ever heard of Free Republic was some years ago in a put-down somewhat like this one. I thought, if Free Republic upsets these jerks this much, it must be worth checking out. I’ve been here ever since.
As long as they spell the name right - Free Republic - it just helps enlarge the community.
Eh, I think Barf Alerts are pretty “DU,” myself. I love that FR is generally more professional.

I am happy with my social skills and get to use them often in life with people of intelligence. Many on FR are Christians so as the saying goes "Cleanliness is next to Godliness" a concept which many of the great unwashed left don't grasp. Since bathing takes care of dandruff and stinky pits those who seems most worried about that like Chris Kelly should try a nice shower. He might then be less concerned with pit sniffing. He isn't really cute or intelligent looking but I bet he has the darnedest lisp, the old sweetie.
I worry about his social life however since he has to fill his empty moments on FR. Guess those lefty liberals on Huffington Post can't even keep one of such limited depth as old Chris occupied.
