Former President Bill Clinton has agreed to make public the names of more than 200,000 donors to his foundation as part of a deal with President-elect Barack Obama to clear the way for Sen. Hillary Clinton to become secretary of state, The New York Times reported on Sunday.
Citing Democrats close to Clinton and Obama, the newspaper reported Clinton had decided to publish his contributor list to avoid an appearance of conflict of interest with his wife's duties as secretary of state.
...
The contributors' list is one of nine conditions that Clinton agreed to in his discussions with Obama's representatives, the newspaper reported.

I’m looking forward to it - we’ll be able to see just how much Denise Rich donated (and her gal friend) to get her exhusband pardoned.....

And we have police and a National Guard to deal with the situation. SCOTUS has a job to do and Cheney is President of the Senate. Obama’s got some dancin to do.
Also, Obama supporters don't have a monopoly on civil disorder. Could get ugly.

That's not what I meant. I think Palin gets the boot for this round but comes back strong against Hillary when McCain decides not to run in 2012. Palin will have a fight on her hands but Clinton is shrewd and Palin will have a fight.
Thanks!

I think the DNC was backing Hillery and everyone thought she'd pull it off in the end. She was winning all of the late caucuses. Who could have imagined that someone with Obama’s lack of qualifications (in addition to the citizenship thing) could actually win. This demonstrates the power of the media and its ability to shape public thought.
As the Leftist poet Allen Greenberg stated (although I think he was quoting Lenin): Control the media, control the culture. Obviously, the Left controls the media and the ultra-left controls the Democratic Party.

How is anyone going to know if the list is complete?

I wasn't sure either so I re-read the Constitution. Amendment XII (that's 12). The Electors do distinct ballot for prez and VP and certify the results. Then they submit both lists to the President of the Senate (Dick Cheney). Cheney reviews and I assume determines if the lists are accurate, certified by the electors and, hopefully, whether the winners are qualified under the terms of the Constitution. He opens the ballots in the presence of the Senate and the House of Representatives. The SCOTUS will have to determine whether a ballot electing an unqualified candidate and that has been certified by the electors can be set aside. The state electors are party hacks and will certify Obama’s election even if he is unqualified because they don;t give a rip about the constitution. They want their man. The issue before the SCOTUS is what to do when a Party DNC decides to, en mass, violate the terms of the Constitution. One would hope the conspirators would go to jail...
It will be an interesting two weeks.

“A seventy year old woman is a crone.”
Really? Only if it is a Republican woman. For Hillary, it will be botox, makeup and all the Hollywood glitz and she will look like she is 50.
And the media will swoon over her youth.

The interesting problem is that Biden’s electoral ceretification will be valid because he is qualified to serve (maybe not mentally, but that's another issue). We could see McCain as president and Biden as VP. That leaves Hillary in a quandary but S of S under McCain/Biden Grand Coalition government would actually make some sense. McCain is a one termer and she likely cut a deal with Biden that she will run in 2012 or at least be running mate.
We looked at Condi as president and VP so why not keep Hillary warm as S of S and see who comes out in front in 2012.
This is why all of the Washington insiders are lining up in the new administration. Barry is likely out of the picture unless he produces the qualifying birth certificate. Which, by the way, seems like such a simple solution that I can't believe he's dragging his feet on this issue. The very fact that the SCOUTUS needs to meet is news and the world is watching.
To: ari-freedom
why? Simple. She actually wants to DO something more interesting than push for Woodstock museums. The whole point of getting elected to Senate was that she could be the first woman president.
~~~~~~~~~~
I'm not so sure. She is a political animal and has lived, breathed and defined herself as a political animal since high school. Why would she give up a safe Senate seat, increasing Senatorial power and global prestige to serve in an Obama administration? Barry is a goof and the international mistakes are bound to be impressive. As S of S, SHE takes the heat for the president. That's the job.
I can't believe she would EVER allow him or anyone else (except Bill) to tarnish her political brand.
Besides, if Obama is qualified to serve as POTUS and he seeks re-election, she may well be out of a job in 4 years and that would end her career. NO WAY NO HOW!!!!
Wow. I’ll have whatever you’re having!
