Not much follows...on the ticker on Times of India site.
This probably relates to the situation at Nariman House where Israeli nationals are taken hostage. Will post more if more known....
Yeah no doubt it was a leak designed to deter efforts at any rescue, but does it really have the effect of warning the enemy to "get ready" or telling them to "get ready to die?" If I knew that bunch of pros was aimed at me I'd be at the very least be concerned I might get killed by the Entebbe crew before I got a chance to complete my mission. Face it, the Israeli special forces have an enviable record of success.
These are not “most” terrorists. There was a report they had sat phones and RDX military explosives. This is a military operation that was probably backed by Pak intelligence.
That’s actually my current favorite theory on the matter.
If there were MP5s and actual pre-fabbed RDX, then it almost *has* to be a Paki op. At the very least, it was Paki supported.
Also, a number of people have speculated about special forces and HRT-type units using the media to their advantage - say, having another unit go stage a big noisy mock raid on some other building (”Hey, Muhammad, they’re going into the wrong building!”) while the real operators go raid the real one. (”Oi, no we’re not. Say hello to Allah.” BRAAAAAP.)
Hey, don’t get crazy, we don’t have to nuke both Pakistan and Iran. Nuking one will get the others undivided attention.
It’s about time some real experts get there!
