ARTICLE SNIPPET: “The arrest of three Pakistani nationals hailing from Multan in connection with Mumbai siege has once again revealed the role of Lashkar-e-Tayiba in terror strikes in India after the Akshardham attack in 2002.
Police and central security personnel have arrested at least three Pakistanis, including Ajmal Amir Kamal, a resident of Faridkot near Multan in Pakistan’s Punjab province. All the three belong to the suicide squad of Lashkar-e-Tayiba.
The terrorists told interrogators that 12 of them had left in a merchant vessel from the port city of Karachi, which was on its way to Vietnam, from which they got down and rowed 10 nautical miles into Indian waters up to Gateway of India.
The dozen people split into at least five groups that created havoc in five star hotels — Taj and Trident (Oberoi). The terrorists were carrying dry fruits, suggesting they were prepared for a long-drawn battle.
The sources said the group was joined by some of the local contacts who provided them logistics like bags and dry fruits, the sources said, adding initial reports suggested that the terror group had come to the metropolis in the intervening night of Sunday and Monday.
However, new leads suggested that they had entered the Indian waters on early Wednesday morning, the sources said.”
Well, I have to go to bed. Stay safe.
(This also explains the reason for the news black-out now. )

Indian commando forces in Mumbai have taken control of the top floors of the city's Chabad House after storming the building where Islamic terrorists were holding hostages, according to a security officer at the Israeli Embassy.
Thank you Scania boy.
My prayers for the hostages and the rescuers.
Gunmen kill former Taliban spokesman
Gunmen wearing Afghan army uniforms killed a former Taliban spokesman in eastern Afghanistan, an official said Friday.
About a dozen assailants used a ladder to scale a fort in the eastern Chaparhar where the former spokesman, Mohammad Hanif, was living with his father-in-law after being released from Afghan custody, said Sayed Mohammad, a district chief.
Once inside the compound they killed Hanif and three other people, Mohammad said. He could not say who was behind the killing.
Hanif was arrested by Afghan intelligence agents in January of 2007. He was released from custody six months ago.
Afghanistan's intelligence service later distributed a video CD of what it said was Hanif claiming that Pakistani intelligence was helping to hide Taliban leader Mullah Omar inside Pakistan - a charge denied by Pakistan.
That’s interesting.

just breaking, Oberoi Trident hotel is secure
GREAT NEWS!
Yes.
I’ve been listening to the Indian broadcast and apparently all terrorists have been cleared from the area, but now they are looking for “booby traps”, etc.
Still some shots from the Taj.
The numbers are gonna get ugly really soon when the authorities do a proper count inside the two Hotels. :(
They seem to be dancing around that issue at present.
Yes I hear that, but it could also be something else falling or something else.
