Mumbai: At least 15 people have been injured in gunfights between two groups in at least three places in Mumbai on Thursday night.
Details are sketchy but it is believed that two gangs fired at each other at outside CST Railway Terminus, Hotel Oberoi and the popular Café Leopold restaurant in Mumbai.
The first shooting took place near the CST police station

Possibly, but I can’t find an article confirming it.
That second link in your post said the train station “shot” was a metal item falling. I suppose they stopped things for awhile to figure it out - glad it wasn’t another episode - at least as far as that link goes.
Sometimes jamming the phone signals is good for a variety of reasons.

So many reports and breaking news can change in a heartbeat.
New firing reports appear to have been false. Now is not the time to jam the streets with evacuees. They would just be targets.

Yep, everyone needs to stay out of the way until this is over.
Also, security forces should check ids of everyone they bring out...make sure the suspects hasn’t changed clothes/uniforms with the hostages.
Read a report earlier about a terrorist that did just that in one of the Mumbai Hotels. Managed to shoot a few people after the rescue before the police killed him.

It is like a Die Hard movie in real life. Terrorists popping up everywhere. Looks like it is going to be another day before the Indian security forces manage to clear out the last of the killers.

SPECULATION:
I’m guessing your tv will be back on with the rescues are over
and all hostages are located, liberated and/or recovered.
But the radio broadcasts are in Marathi and Hindi I cant understand it .
