McCain Remarks on His Political Career [commitment to amnesty]
The Washington Post ^ | 2008-11-25

Posted on 11/25/2008 2:47:01 PM PST by rabscuttle385

QUESTION: Considering you were one of the leading advocates of immigration reform in 2007, do you intend to take up on that role again with President Obama? Or is it too much of a political liability, considering you're running for re-election?

MCCAIN: Running for re-election has never been a concern of mine as far as issues like that are concerned. I intend to discuss that with the president-elect.

It's pretty clear that our agenda, that all Americans are, is our economy, but I still am committed to comprehensive immigration reform, with the need to secure our borders and a guest-worker program that works, as well as providing a path to citizenship with many of those who are here illegally.

Once a POS, always a POS!! Screw American citizens, let's give it all to Mexicans and let them send it back to Mexico. Here we are in the beginning of a recession and they want to add another 20 - 30 million hungry mouths to feed. They have lost their freaking minds!!!

In less than a decade, the US will be just like Mexico!! Violence and poverty will abound with this amnesty, and within a decade Mexicans will begin to win all the elections and soon will take over our federal government. Thanks alot McCain. You and your traitor pals who just can't wait to destroy America!!

We are so screwed. Of course, he would have said the very same thing had he been elected POTUS. Naturally, the nice people of AZ will send him back to the Senate again. Can't they field a REAL Republican for his seat?

I’m in favor of a guest-worker program too.

Let’s face it. We need one.

But I don’t want a guest-worker plan based on anything McCain or Kennedy have cooked up.

When Dole lost he disappeared. McCain, please take note! Conservatives should be aware that whether or not Chambliss wins McCain will be voting with Democrats most of the time, and his catamite, Lindsay Graham will follow along.

We already have a guest-worker program that works. Its called “legal” immigration. We allow a million people per year to immigrate legally. Every year. I’ve yet to see anyone try to explain that a million a year isn’t enough. If it isn’t enough, increase it to any defensible explainable number. But don’t saddle us with a legal monstrocity that will create in law what we already have in fact, a population of second-class workers.

If you need a man bad enough to bring him into the country, then you need him bad enough to grant him the rights of any immigrant. If you don’t need him that bad, you don’t need him that bad. It shouldn’t be that tough when you’re hiring to hire from among the million immigrants coming in legally, or the 280 million Americans already here.

I’m glad McCain lost. Now all will learn first hand just what socialism is about. Of course McCain supports most of what the socialists want to do.

Rabscuttle, I hereby humbly apologize for any insults I slung your way during the campaign. If I ever told you to vote for McCain because he was better than Obama and called you a troll or a closet Obama supporter because of it, then you have my sincerest apologies.

Now back to my broiled crow dinner...

Let’s hope the new head of the RNC finds a conservative to run against McCain.

The key to stopping McCain/Obama is the same that stopped Bush in 2006 and 2007 attempt one and 2007 attempt two:
Which Senators will be up for reelection in 2010.
If enough, from constituencies that are against it, are up for reelection, they will gaggle against it.

Senator positions up in 2010

Retiring

Sam Brownback (R) of Kansas

Democratic incumbents

Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas
Barbara Boxer of California
Ken Salazar of Colorado
Christopher Dodd of Connecticut
  Biden   Delaware
Daniel Inouye of Hawaii
  Obama   Illinois
Evan Bayh of Indiana
Barbara Mikulski of Maryland
Harry Reid of Nevada
Chuck Schumer of New York
Byron Dorgan of North Dakota
Ron Wyden of Oregon
Patrick Leahy of Vermont
Patty Murray of Washington
Russ Feingold of Wisconsin

Republican incumbents

Richard Shelby of Alabama
Lisa Murkowski of Alaska
John McCain of Arizona
Mel Martinez of Florida
Johnny Isakson of Georgia
Mike Crapo of Idaho
Chuck Grassley of Iowa
Jim Bunning of Kentucky
David Vitter of Louisiana
Kit Bond of Missouri
Judd Gregg of New Hampshire
Richard Burr of North Carolina
George Voinovich of Ohio
Tom Coburn of Oklahoma
Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania
Jim DeMint of South Carolina
John Thune of South Dakota
Bob Bennett of Utah

Yeah,
But I don't think McCain, Ahrnold, Jorge, or any of the other likely transplants are qualified for any jobs Mexico has to offer.

I felt HORRIBLE when Bush 41 lost to Clinton, but wasn’t nearly as upset this time when McCain lost. dHe burned the Republicans too many times over the years for most of us to feel any allegiance toward him.

0bama’s got his hands full; that’s for sure.
