“Summers and Geithner, Ive described them as putting Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz in the lineup, said Gregg, drawing an analogy to two sluggers who played together on his favorite baseball team, the Boston Red Sox.”
He obviously doesn’t follow them tooooo closely...

These GOP Senators are also pro-amnesty for illegal immigrants! Amnesty for illegal immigrants will forever ruin the U.S. economy!

The hyphenated legals will do that...

During the campaign, the kind of change that the president-elect promised was so undefined it made me nervous, Grassley said in a statement. Now that he's appointing familiar faces from the Clinton administration to very high-level positions, I'm less concerned.Less concerned? I would hardly call that "hailing" the appointments.

What a shame that the real conservatives do not do what Joe Liberman had done a few years ago.

Is it possible for the conservatives in Congress leave the GOP and become independent or maybe even create their own party? This is the best time to make that jump.

I've been saying this too, for quite some time. I didn't leave the GOP, they left me. The Big Tent now equates to Big Government. If another person tells me to just vote in the RINO come 2010, because I don't want more of the same social programs, they should be taken out and shot for treason. What good is it to the people of the United States if the best we can offer is a go-along, get-along RINO? We have to stop accepting such candidates and say NO. My saying NO, standing on my convictions, as a minority in the voting process does not contribute to the fall of this nation to socialism. Electing a RINO does.
If being conservative means we have a minority party then so be it. Let it be a strong willed, dedicated minority party.

Poor Judd Gregg. He must be planning to run again in 2010, or he would not be saluting Oprah’s Choice so strongly. It won’t work: NH will give him the boot too. If he were not running again, he might actually show some principles. Another reason why conservatives dislike NH. Judd Gregg has learned nothing in the past three years.

You are so right, and most registered Republicans could not even pick out a conservative in a lineup of candidates in their primaries. Of course, most never came to the primary election anyway.

What about the Brain Trust? They brought electricity to Tennesse! How could that have ever happened otherwise?

To Gregg, Grassley and all other republican poseurs who championed and voted for the bailout:
