Obama Dodges Reporters' Questions -- again
Fox News Live | 11/25/08

Posted on 11/25/2008 9:22:59 AM PST by pabianice

We are witnessing an astounding performance by The One now on TV. Obama just gave a content-free "economic address" in which he announced that he is "appointing good people to his team" and then naming two.

The real news is that this is being followed by a Twilight Zone press conference in which he has pre-chosen friendly reporters and is calling upon them while refusing to ask for questions from any other reporters present. I have never seen such a shabby performance by a president-elect. He is using the pre-chosen "reporters" (with, presumably, pre-arranged questions) to trumpet his ideas and plans without fear of being challenged.

With the drooling lapdog press in his doggie basket, The One clearly plans to avoid taking any questions for the next four years. I guess Obama's "Fairness Doctrine" means no nasty questions.

Overall, Obama is running on and on about how he is going to solve our economic problems through "new ideas," "rejecting politics," and "working in a bipartisan manner" (which clearly does not involve being actually questioned by reporters).

It’s embarrassing if a valid birth certificate is not required to be presented when declaring as a candidate for President of the United States. God help us.

“...Obama’s “Fairness Doctrine” means no nasty questions”

He will at least have time to finish his waffles, right?

Mrs. Henkster asked why he talked like he was still campaigning for office. My reply was that’s the only thing he knows how to do. He’s only been in office to run for the next one. Problem is, there is no “higher office.” Not one that he can run for, anyway.

Media that are not getting a chance to ask question, should only send junior reporters equipped with printed questions that may be asked if they are called upon for a question.

Sooner or later BO will wear out his welcome with reporters. They’ll start asking difficult questions when the tanking economy starts to have an affect on THEIR wallets and mortgages and when the first US attack in 7 years happens. Which it will in ‘09.

Obama is really, really, really dumb.

Au contraire. The American public is really, really, dumb. The majority bought into the glib talk, the promises without substance, the Plan that was smoke and mirrors. I've paid particular attention to his economic adjustments and, it is from those, that I say he is economically illiterate. He has no clue what he is doing to the economic system and if he continues down the road he promises, rack and ruin may look like a good outcome. Unless he gets someone to guide him who knows what they are doing, this is going to get very, very ugly.

The outlets that aren’t allowed questions should not even show up...They can get what they are getting by watching on TV just as you and I do...

A 3/4 empty press room would send a HUGE message...

Frankly, I am not interested in what he has to say because - his depth of knowledge is limited; there is nothing there; one would be better off turning on the cartoon channel.

Libs eat their own kind. Just wait till the honeymoon’s over. Dear Leader won’t be able to handle it.

This could be funny if it weren’t so tragic.
D’ohbama has never had a full time job before. This ‘fast tracker’ has no clue what to do.
Ben Stein said that ‘King’ Robert Rubin is running the show. That’s scary!

Behind the “Office of the President-Elect” podium. What a schlub.

That actually was noticed at that first presser Friday of election week. Another freeper indicated the “office” did exist as a part of GAO, I believe, as simply a suite of offices where people work on the transition. No one could ever remember a president-elect actually using that title on a lectern before.

Perhaps “Tragi-comedy” is the right word. Some day stupid Americans living in their collectives will look back on this and laugh....

You would think that if the media had any self-respect (instead of just plain old self-satisfaction with themselves), there would be a backlash from the journalists who aren’t on the “approved” list.

Get used to it. The Annointed One’s media will continue to lie, spin and ignore the truth to his ultimate glory. Not even Bill Clinton had the confidence Obama is displaying by flaunting his absolute domination of the MSM.
