Another Lovely Gift from Mexico

No reason to build that border wall #17,056. And you thought their gifts were limited to freeloaders, salmonella, and e-coli. Silly geese!

It's Not a Tumor, It's a Brain Worm

Late last summer, Rosemary Alvarez of Phoenix thought she had a brain tumor. But on the operating table her doctor discovered something even more unsightly -- a parasitic worm eating her brain..."We've got a lot more of cases of this in the United States now," said Raymond Kuhn, professor of biology and an expert on parasites at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C. "Upwards of 20 percent of neurology offices in California have seen it."

According to Kuhn, who has traveled to study this parasite, cysticercosis is a big problem in some parts of Latin America and Mexico where health codes are hard to enforce and people may frequently eat undercooked pork. As people travel across the border with Mexico for vacation and work, Kuhn said so does the tapeworm. One person infected with a parasite, who also has bad hand washing habits, can infect many others with eggs.

"These eggs can live for three months in formaldehyde," said Kuhn. "You got to think, sometimes, a person is slapping lettuce on your sandwich with a few extra add-ons there."

Let everyone be convinced in their own mind what is right. I certainly am not going to engage in a fruitless argument that will will not change anyones mind. God has always wanted His people to be different and challenged to be better than what our natural desires are. Jesus, our Savior and Example, did not sin and the more closely we emulate His life, the closer to God we will be. You can read Pauls letters however you want, but the context and meaning we will probably disagree upon. Cheers.

Yah, but then you remember the illegal alien lettuce picker and the extra goodness on his dirty fingers and you want to run have your brain scanned... no?

Seems they are going to get you even if you don’t buy dirty tub backyard cheese from a street vendor.

Read what Paul said about what you eat in Colossians 2:16, Galatians 5, I Corinthians 10:23-33 and Romans 14:1-8. Since the Christian belief is that the Scriptures, Old and New Testaments, are Divinely Inspired, does that not make them THE definitive Authority?

Also, wasn’t it Peter (Acts 11:1-10) to whom God said, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean”?

So for Gentile Believers, per the Word of God, there is NOTHING that is unclean to eat, only that one not place a stumbling block in front of weaker believers. So if Christ Jesus is your saviour, as you intimate, then pork is NOT off the diet. Just cook it well and enjoy.

The trouble with pork was trichinosis, a disease related to pork if it is not well done. Has nothing to do with how dirty they are or what they lie in. Bears can also give you trichinosis, so cook the meat well if you kill one and eat it. Always cook pork throughly. That is why pork was forbidden to eat, lots of people ate it, back in the day, and got sick. It is fine as long as you cook it all they way through, in fact I eat lots of pork. Yummy!

Oh, and one more thing, tape worms are usually found in pets, not pork. Unless pork eats certain things or is attacked by fleas, they are not very likely to get tapeworms. Your cat or dog is much more likely to get them, not to mention modern farm methods pretty much prevent them. Last but not least, tape worms are found in the intestines of an infected animal, not in the meat! So your BS statement about eating tapeworms cooked or raw is just that, BS. Here is a link so you can read about tapeworms if you wish too. link to tapeworm information

THANKS TO ALL OF MY FREEPER FRIENDS ———

I just want to thank all of you for your educational threads, posts and emails over the past year.

Thanks to you, I no longer open a public bathroom door without using a paper towel.

I can’t use the remote in a hotel room because I don’t know what the last person was doing while flipping through the channels.

I can’t sit down on the hotel bedspread because I can only imagine what has happened on it since it was last washed.

I can’t enjoy lemon slices in my tea or on my seafood anymore because lemon peels have been found to contain all kinds of nasty germs including feces.

I have trouble shaking hands with someone who has been driving because the number one pastime while driving alone is picking your nose.

Eating a Little Debbie sends me on a guilt trip because I can only imagine how many gallons of trans fats I have consumed over the years.

I can’t touch any woman’s purse for fear she has placed it on the floor of a public bathroom.

I must send my special thanks to whoever sent me the one about poop in the glue on envelopes because I now have to use a wet sponge with every envelope that needs sealing.

Also, now I have to scrub the top of every can I open for the same reason.

I no longer have any savings because I gave it to a sick girl (Penny Brown) who is about to die in the hospital for the 1,387,258th time.

I no longer have any money at all, but that will change once I receive the $15,000 that Bill Gates/Microsoft and AOL are sending me for participating in their special e-mail program .

I no longer worry about my soul because I have 363,214 angels looking out for me, and St.Theresa’s novena has granted my every wish.

I no longer eat KFC because their chickens are actually horrible mutant freaks with no eyes or feathers.

I no longer use cancer-causing deodorants even though I smell like a water buffalo on a hot day.

Thanks to you, I have learned that my prayers only get answered if I forward an e-mail to seven of my friends and make a wish within five minutes.

Because of your concern I no longer drink Coca Cola because it can remove toilet stains.

I no longer can buy gasoline without taking someone along to watch the car so a serial killer won’t crawl in my back seat when I’m pumping gas.

I no longer drink Coke or Dr Pepper since the people who make these products are atheists who refuse to put ‘Under God’ on their cans.

I no longer use Saran wrap in the microwave because it causes cancer.

And thanks for letting me know I can’t boil a cup of water in the microwave anymore because it will blow up in my face...disfiguring me for life.

I no longer check the coin return on pay phones because I could be pricked with a needle infected with AIDS.

I no longer go to shopping malls because someone will drug me with a perfume sample and rob me.

I no longer receive packages from UPS or FedEx since they are actually Al Qaeda in disguise.

I no longer shop at Target since they are French and don’t support our American troops or the Salvation Army.

I no longer answer the phone because someone will ask me to dial a number for or which I will get a phone bill with calls to Jamaica , Uganda , Singapore and Uzbekistan .

Thanks to you, I can’t use anyone’s toilet but mine because a big brown African spider is lurking under the seat to cause me instant death when it bites my butt.

And thanks to your great advice, I can’t ever pick up $5.00 dropped in the parking lot because it probably was placed there by a rapist waiting underneath my car to grab my leg.

If you don’t repost this thread on forty four different forums in the next four hours, then e-mail it to at least 144,000 people in the next 470 minutes, a large dove with diarrhea will land on your head at 5:00 PM tomorrow afternoon and the fleas from 12 camels will infest your back, causing you to grow a hairy hump. I know this will occur because it actually happened to a friend of my next door neighbor’s ex-mother-in-law’s second husband’s cousin’s beautician...

Have a wonderful day...

Thanks, I learned enough about tapeworms in 10th grade biology! I have read many times that the larvae or whatever they are burrow into the muscles of an infected animal or human. If I’m wrong about it - oh well.

I give my cats diatomaceous earth in their food every day as it gets rid of all manner of parasites, and periodically rub it in their fur. Gets rid of fleas, they don’t have any. It’s good stuff for anyone with household animals - works on cows, horses and goats, too - in the feed or on their coats.

I don’t see that my statement about not wanting to eat even well-cooked tapeworms is BS. Sheesh, the woman had one in her brain! How did it get there? Maybe they aren’t as prevalent as they used to be here in the US, great! But there is certainly no harm in being a vegetarian if one so chooses.

Probably tofu poisoning. You might try copious amounts of animal protein to get you back on your feet again.

I don’t eat tofu.

Being a carnivore is not a pre-resquisite for being a conservative.
