Want to bet there will some day be a statue of Bill Ayers somewhere in the US?

I have read a couple of books about Senator McCarthy. He was right then and even more right today. The Tidings committee and the Army hearing destroyed McCarthy and the efforts he had made to expose the communist infiltration into our government then and that unfortunately still exists to this day.
I thought that for sometime the commies were somewhat in check. Now, however, I fear they will unleash themselves with reckless abandon in their effort to finally end the capitalist free society we have had. Though we have recently begun to lose some of those freedoms, if the current band of thugs is allowed to implement their agenda unchecked, we will lose many more. I am with you, GOD help us all....

It’s NY, therefore quite representative of their values.

If I lived around there, each day I'd sprinkle the statue with bird seed to attract pigeons...lots and lots of pigeons. Sorry, we need more than that. Much much more. What's needed is some old fashioned civil disobedience. If someone to vandalize the statue and permanently disfigure it or outright destroy it, it would send the right message. (Do the same with statues of Lenin and Mao in other cities.)
However, we're talking NYC here and I'd be surprised if anybody there had the gumption

I could actually handle that, if the statue was erected based on the principle of waiting until the person being 'honored' was dead and in the grave.
Hell, based on that principle, I'd be happy to see such a statue unveiled to the public in time for Thanksgiving this week.
I have no sympathy nor tolerance for terrorists, foreign OR domestic.
William Ayers is scum. (w/apologies to all other more honorable scum)

It would seem that the Communists were successful in their efforts to subvert and seize our Government. November 4th proves it.

Che wasn’t even a man who just wanted to “fix” his own country as many revolutionary figures were- he was a man always in search of a revolution. Also known as a trouble maker.

Looks like you were right. I just found this...
A banner at Cooper Unions historic Foundation Building on East Seventh Street shows a 1953 Picasso portrait of Stalin. (Photo: Gianni Cipriano for The New York Times)

NYCLU: WHY WAS STALIN BANNER REMOVED?
November 14, 2008
The New York Civil Liberties Union is demanding that city officials explain why they ordered The Cooper Union to remove a banner displaying an image of Joseph Stalin.
A spokeswoman for the private Manhattan art school says city buildings officials told the school on Oct. 31 that the banner violated the law. The spokeswoman said she didn't know which law.
Buildings officials did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Friday.
The NYCLU says it wants to make sure city regulations weren't "selectively enforced because people complained about the image of Stalin."
The school says Norwegian artist Lene Berg created the banner, which features a reproduction of a 1953 portrait of Stalin by Picasso. At the time, the image was viewed as a critique of the Soviet leader.
