Broken by Radio Equalizer, confirmed by Fox News.
In announcing his decision, Colmes said, I approached Bill Shine (FNCs Senior Vice President of Programming) earlier this year about wanting to move on after 12 years to develop new and challenging ways to contribute to the growth of the network. Although its bittersweet to leave one of the longest marriages on cable news, Im proud that both Sean (Hannity) and I remained unharmed after sitting side by side, night after night for so many years.
Colmes will continue to have a presence on FNC as he will serve as a liberal commentator on a variety of FOX News programming, including Foxnews.coms The Strategy Room and continue hosting his radio program, The Alan Colmes Show on FOX Talk, a division of FOX News Radio. He will also begin developing a weekend program
Hannity added, Not only has Alan been a remarkable co-host, hes been a great friend which is rare in this industry. Ill genuinely miss sparring with such a skillful debate partner.

they have plenty to choose from to take his place....
He was ‘shined-on’ by Bill Shine! Good riddance to that annoying, twisted liberal dweebish goof. See ya on radio.
Powers will probably be it until she loses her looks. My suggestion for a replacement is a fax machine straight to the DNC, which is pretty much what they had before.
Or Mort Kondracke...
C'mon. Hannity ain't settin' the bar too high here!
Debate? Really, Sean...
Hannity & Ego
LOL!
Good
Don't take it the wrong way, I'm glad you posted this thread. Alan was just tired of being Sean's beyotch.
Plus, I needed to change my tag line. I'm just hoping Sarah doesn't go Hollywood on us. Alaska needs her to be focusing on her stewardship of the state for at least two more years.
Too bad. It was nice to see an insane liberal who was somewhat likeable.
“Whos going to replace him? Bob Beckel or Kristen Powers? Im hoping the latter.”
Likewise. Beckel’s pompous lip-pursing turns my stomach.
Tough when one calls a spade a spade.
During the campaign, a young girl that I work with said that she "Liked Palin, but couldn't vote for her because she was 'Too Pro-Choice'".
My reply was "So you can't vote for someone because they don't believe in killing babies? That's a tough position to defend." Game, Set, and Match. I don't get an ace off very often, and I'm very proud of that one. :-)
so ... you didn’t tell us ... what was the female dweeb’s response?
He seemed to be taking the jibes more personally. That’s when it’s time to go...
I usually watch a few minutes of Greta. Have noticed of late when Hannity & Colmes were going off air, the tech people in the back ground laughing at Colmes remarkes.
and lately guests like Rove, Morris, Steele all just laugh at him right on the air and tell him how stupid he is... he has not taken that well.
I can't say I've seen that. But I've hardly watched since the election. I've never been a big fan of the show (mostly because of Colmes). Once Special Report is over, that's been it for me. And SR became no-go with the "panel's" handling of the last debate. I can't watch Tinker-Bell, and O'Reilly is a gas bag. I'll watch Cops before I'll watch any of that. But usually my face is planted in a book...
But I'm actually sorry Colmes was treated that way. No one, even Colmes, deserves that kind of rancor. That's tasteless and I wonder why (if) Hannity let it go on.
Just proves Sean is Deaf.
I agree, then they could call the show “&”
It seems like now that the Liberal Democrats are in complete control there is little incentive for people to continue to fight for the cause. This may be an illustration that conservatives are the strongest when they are out of power. However, if the Fairness Act is passed then Colmes will have an opportunity to go head to head with Rush Limbaugh.
