Manny’s is an institution.... I haven’t been there in awhile, but it is outstanding and pricy. I would imagine the corned beef sandwich has to be up around $9 or so.... wrongo. I just checked the menu.
They closed around 3-4PM until maybe the last year or two. Now they serve dinner.
Reminds me of the aliens in the TV series “V”. Creepy!
CRAP. I haven't had a ruben in 15 years...Now it's like the song I can't stop humming...Good Lord those are so good.
And I bet there's quite a few other folks here thinking the same thing.
Excuse me while I remove this Democrat stuff from my throat.
You all are lucky you don’t live in Chicago. We’ve been bombarded with this kind of “news” non-stop for weeks. Almost every newscast leads off with an Obama story—even if its just announcing what school his daughters will go to, or where he ate lunch. I don’t turn the tv on, I can’t take any more. Every newspaper has Obama on the front page, with special supplements on the weekend. I may have to move to another state or lose my sanity.
Manny's doesn't serve porkit's a Jewish deli.
First time I have agreed with The0ne on anything. Darn good corned beef at Manny’s....Wonder if he chowed on one of the potato pancakes?

Manny’s is a great deli/restaurant. It’s one of those places where you slide your tray along as you pick your food. I was addicted to their brisket of beef sandwiches (not corned beef), just plain beef brisket. With a bit of horseradish on it, on an onion kaiser roll. May favorite. I worked at the Univ. of IL at Chicago (UIC), and my Department was only about 5 blocks away from Manny’s. I’ve retired and live in the burbs, however, I really want to get back to Manny’s one day for a lunch feast. The food there is fantastic.
Corned beef and cabbage used to be popular with Irish immigrants. O’Bama is just getting back to his roots.
As important as this story may be, I am still waiting for clarification on the dog issue. I am on tenterhooks, unable to eat, sleep, or concentrate until that is settled and we find out which breed he picks and what the kids will name it. All else is insignificant and meaningless.
Did he snort or smoke his coke?
George W. Bush hates corned beef, and he kicked a kitten that was in the corned beef diner.
Muy expensivo when you can get it. 150$/lb I think
Jamon Iberico
Man, that Palin - she's such a moron...
On the other hand, Obama is brilliant, and KNOWS how to handle those pesky reporters. I'm thinking that Obama is running the most brilliant President-Electship in US history. I just wish he could somehow gift the rest of us ordinary mortals with just a scintilla of his inspired GodHeadedness.
He's just effing brilliant!
I feel your pain, man...
$10.95 for just the corned beef sandwich. $5.00 for a sandwich is pushing it for the peasants.
Ann Sanner, official American Pravda court sycophant, wrote this “fluffer” piece.
At least he was smart enough not to stand in front of the slaughter floor in the slaughter house.
