AP Reminds Us That Palin is A Failed Candidate... Over and Over and Over Again (PDS Alert)
Newsbusters ^ | November 22, 2008 | Warner Todd Huston

Governor Palin is in demand. Every newshound, every TV talking head, every newsertainer in the country is after her. She is being pursued for TV shows, book deals, movie roles, hounded by photographers and every hanger on in both Hollywood and the newsertainment industry. But the Associated Press wants to be sure you understand one thing: she is a FAILURE! That's right, in discussing Palin's current celebrity, the main concern AP has is to make sure you know she is a big ol' loser. The AP is so intent to remind you she lost that it has to tell you she lost over and over again. You know, just in case you were unaware she and McCain didn't win the election.

So, did you know Sarah Palin lost the election? Here, let the AP remind you (My bold throughout)...

Oprah wants her, and so do Letterman and Leno. Fresh from her political defeat, Sarah Palin is juggling offers to write books, appear in films and sit on dozens of interview couches at a rate that would be astonishing for most Hollywood stars, let alone a first-term governor.

Gosh. Fresh from that defeat and all? Imagine.

But, wait. Not to be outdone by the first paragraph, the second paragraph goes one better. It starts OUT telling us she is a failure.

The failed Republican vice presidential candidate crunched state budget numbers this week in her 17th-floor office as tumbling oil prices hit Alaska's revenues. Meanwhile, her staff fielded television requests seeking the 44-year-old Palin for late-night banter and Sunday morning Washington policy.

and positioned to help us take back ourr country as a result.

I pray that you are right but fear that you are wrong. We didn't lose this election in november but back in the primaries. Mccain never won the majority of republicans in the early primaries. Next time all the independants and democrats will have nothing better to do then to vote in our primaries. Unless we change the primary rules only the wimpiest of the rino's will make it through that process.

Layoffs of employees remind us that AP is a failing business. I have a feeling that Sarah Palin will be around long after AP is in Chapter 11 - or even better, in Chapter 7.

Conservatives associating with the Republican Party viewed Sarah Palin positively, but manifold enemies surrounded her. McCain forces granted her such selective influence as seemed to increase daily polling numbers. According to Republican elites the era of Ronald Reagan implementing the thoughts of William F. Buckley was over, so maintaining conservative credentials meant fighting a political Cold War. Any show of principled action demanded extraordinary energy, cunning, and often insubordination. She had to fight battles within the campaign as severe as any against the Democrats or the media.

Sarah Palin was fated to follow a downward path similar to Ike Eisenhower’s in relationships with the party elites. When Republicans chose Ike, Harry Truman said they would eat him alive. Truman foretold Ike’s principle compromises, even as Republican leaders maintained Ike’s proven character was vital to reverse ever-diminishing Republican Party influence. In the same manner Sarah Palin was the only hope of rallying the base as the last time the Republicans ran an inspiring campaign under Reagan.

Ike’s first major principle abandonment came when Joe McCarthy denounced George Marshall as a Communist. General Marshall had promoted Eisenhower over hosts of more senior officers, and supported his assignment as commander of the D-Day invasion. Ike decreed McCarthy would not board his train in Wisconsin. Ike would also present a tribute to Marshall in Milwaukee. First aides, through supposed miscommunication, allowed McCarthy on the train. Political aides then not only dissuaded Ike from delivering the tribute, but also convinced him to appear with McCarthy in speeches. Eventually Ike would participate in political lies surrounding the U-2, completely stifling the character and principles of the man leading allied troops on D-Day.

Sarah Palin’s conservative stature was under continuous assault because of McCain’s addictive fawning for media, and liberal approbation. She can now help in the fight to build a party whose motto is not, “Vote for us. We are just as good as the Democrats”.

Jeff, Has Sarah or her supporters formed any Sarah Palin PAC yet?

I am very interested in actively supporting any run for the Senate she might make.

I haven't heard anything and I thought maybe you might know.

Fresh from her political defeat,

The failed Republican vice presidential candidate

Palin may have emerged from the campaign politically wounded

Flubbed answers in national television

she bobbled her debut,

She needs to stay home

One word. Fear.

They know she will be back.

Unless we change the primary rules only the wimpiest of the rino's will make it through that process.

As long as New Hampshire, and Iowa are the beginning of the primary season. we will be letting RINO's and open primaries decide who the nominee is. Someone in the RINO Elite section of Republican leadership, should be able to notice that. Unless of course that is their true plan.

Yeah, we’re seeing the return of the loyal(minority) opposition, who are cool with the status quo as long as they get to keep their seats.

”Next time all the independants and democrats will have nothing better to do then to vote in our primaries.”

Exactly, and don’t forget the 30 million ‘new’ (previously illegal alien) Rats that will be asserting their right to screw us. Of course that would have happened under McCain as well.

How long do you figure until we become the third world $hit-hole paradise the libs have always longed for?

Unprepared as she was, Governor Palin scared the Left, the Feminists, and the Democratic leadership very badly during the recent election.

These continuing attacks are an indication of just how frightened they are when opposed by an attractive, dynamic, and youthful Republican candidate. As I posted a week or two ago, Palin on the ticket probably prevented a lost presidential election from becoming a general massacre for the party down ticket.

Their fear of her is probably a good indication of the type of candidates the Republican Party needs to find and groom if it wants to regain power at the national and state level. We need to become their worst nightmare.

Do looks make up for a lack of experience?

No, but they obviously don’t hurt either. Just ask the “One.”

True enough, of course by the time he started doing it the choice was between Hillary and the one. The kaos kids started playing that game as far back as Michigan. I'm hoping that next time, somehow, they allow the bluest states to vote first. That way our candidate will be a real republican who might stand a chance of winning our country back.

Can someone please convince Governor Palin not to grant interviews to David Letterman or The View? Both have been over the top in their hatred toward her and should not benefit from Governor Palin’s popularity.

Oh, you mean the “One” who thought there were 57 states? - or who referred to “my Muslim faith” and was corrected by Stephanopoulis? The MSM was SO TRANSPARENT as to be almost funny, but not quite.
