Breaking - McClintock Campaign Declares Victory

Just over the transom, the McClintock campaign is claiming victory, saying that their new lead is greater than the number of ballots left to be counted.

Here's the email from McClintock campaign Communications Director Bill George:

Vote Tally Mathematically Ensures McClintock Victory in Fourth Congressional District Race

Placer County today completed the process of counting absentee and provisional votes, and Tom McClintock gained 1,464 votes. The final Placer County tally gives McClintock a lead of 1,793 votes over Charlie Brown. With the vote tally completed in Placer and Nevada Counties, there is no mathematical way Charlie Brown can overtake McClintock's lead in the Fourth Congressional District election.

"The votes are almost all in and the result is no longer in doubt," said Bill George, McClintock for Congress communications director. "With the small number of votes remaining to be counted, there is no way Charlie Brown can overcome McClintock's lead. The Placer County vote total leaves no doubt that Tom McClintock has prevailed in this race and will represent the District in Congress," George said.

Ron Paul is the only political leader I know who has the courage to say the truth.

Agreed, I like that Eric Cantor and Mike Pence have been given leadership roles. I would definitely put Ron Paul to go speak for the party on Economic and Constitution Issues.

I am hoping and praying that Coleman hangs on.

He isn’t a McClintock conservative, but he is pro-life, and will filibuster things like card check and socialized health care.

We lost the Louisiana senate seat this year because local porker Republicans sided with Landrieu because she has been effective at bringing home pork to their districts.

I’d still bet on the dem. They don’t give up and until the count is certified, I am not holding my breath!

Exactly.

I agree with you 100%!

FWIW, Boenher should not be the House leader any longer. It’s like watching Marv Levy coach the Buffalo Bills in 4 straight Superbowls...you know how that ended up.

I also got an email from Congressman Ron Paul to support McClintock. I’ve always been a McClintock booster, but it was nice to see that Ron Paul thought highly of him as well.
Too bad Ron Paul was not the nominee for President (in either party).
