Barack Hussein Obama is still refusing to disclose to the American public something as innocent and as basic as his full, undoctored birth certificate to establish beyond any shadow of a doubt – and that doubt is growing daily – that he is a natural-born American citizen.
Ironically, now that the election is over, the pressure is building. A few bold members of Congress are getting interested in demanding hearings on the issue. The lawsuits are increasing. More pundits and activists are beginning to mobilize.
I, too, am raising the stakes.
Beginning today, I am personally sponsoring a petition campaign right here at this Internet news source, to all controlling legal authorities to determine Barack Obama's eligibility for the presidency under Article 2, Section 1, of the Constitution and to use all of their persuasive powers to make this information freely available to the rulers of this country – we the people.

As far as I can tell ALL these lawsuits go away as soon as he shows a legitimate birth certificate.
I got a copy of mine for around ten dollars.
He is spending a great deal of money fightings these law suits, such as, the Keyes lawsuit (see post 156)
Why is that?
All Obama has to do is make his birth certificate available and it all goes away.
So far, none of these lawsuits have been dismissed on the grounds that the court has found that Obama is, in fact, a natural born citizen.

If a BC was issued upon return the state would have to make sure the child qualified. As many here like to repeat Obama’s mom wasn’t old enough to confer citizenship so you/they can’t have it both ways.
Too many using this argument pretend that the state will give a bc to anyone without verification when this simply isn’t the case.
As to your second point, I have asked if anyone can name a single person with standing that has been refused?
If you claim you and 300 million other citizens have standing how would you facilitate the disclosure, and what would be reasonable to prevent harassment once provided?
Should this and only this President-elect be forced to give his BC to anyone anytime for ‘expert’ analysis?
Has it occurred to you that Obama requested a copy of his birth certificate to satisfy the ‘public demands’ and chose a respected unbiased org to ‘vet’ it?

That’s how crazy this all is. All of the extremists say matter of factly Obama traveled to Pakistan on an Indonesian passport because he wasn’t allowed to us a US passport.

Surely not every state department official from the era is in the tank for Obama and one or some have gone on record questioning how Obama got to Pakistan or at least confirmed it would have been verboten for a US citizen to go.

That would be after the votes were tallied and the swearing in held. Between the election of electors, and swearing in, thing are a bit more murky.
Donofrio might have a case with the socialist candidate (as if it matters) and may help to clarify the Obama situation so that another suit gets some real traction, but using the 14th Amendment argument isn't going to fly. And McCain's eligibility really isn't credibly contested. Born a citizen is the same as natural born. I hope Donofrio's case works and gets BO's birth certificate but I doubt it will. More likely SCOTUS will kick it back to the lower court and have them admonish the NJ SoS for not doing her job properly or some other relatively pointless gesture.
What needs to occur is somebody, say, a Presidential candidate, elector, the sitting President of the Senate (Cheney), or a Representative or Senator - somebody with a legal obligation and responsibility in the Electoral College voting process - needs to sue for BO's BC, and to make that happen, somebody, whom one of those electors, candidates, etc. represents, needs to sue them to start the legal process of forcing them to do that if they don't do it on their own. It seems that Keyes is on the right track. I would expect better results from his suit. At least, IMO, he is going after the right targets. I guess we'll see. If I am wrong and Donofrio gets BO's certificate produced, feel free to tell me you were right and I was wrong.
THe Constitution says that no one not a natural born citizen is eligible for the Office of President. The will of the people, until they choose to amend that document, doesn't matter. If there is any doubt about his status as a natural born citizen, is it asking so much that a certified copy be presented to a neutral party, like the Supreme Court for example, for examination to determine if he meets the requirement. Becoming President is not a right, it's a privilege, in the modern sense. When I got my current job, about 10 years ago, and I was no right out of college youngster, but rather a 49 y/o with 21 years in industry in addition to my relevant military experience, I had to provide a copy of my college transcripts, and fingerprints. Should we ask less of someone who's finger is going to be on the nuclear trigger?
Not really. He seeks to establish a clear distinction for citizens who seek elective office, specifically to be elected president. The founders themselves recognized the peril of split allegiance, and sought to eliminate the possibility. The matter has never been tested in a court of law. We will see.

Maybe, and maybe not, you'd have to look at the debates surrounding the change, to see if such was their intent.
That's just verbiage, if he's ruled ineligible, then he's disqualified.
But you point about impeachment not being required is valid. If he's ineligible, then he can never be President, no matter if the Chief Just administers the oath of office or not. However there is also no procedure for removing him if he won't go on his own accord. Who orders his ragged a$$ drug out of the White House.
