Kinda dramatic wouldn’t you say. I think there is a reason that Presidents are only allowed two terms. They get really tired of it. I guarantee you that if Obama gets 8 years, he will not want to continue. President Bush if given the option of another term probably would pass. The United States is much different than other countries. I doubt anyone would want to be a dictator. It is way too difficult a job.

The Republican Party has an excellent future. We need to just quit P’ing and M’ning about it, get off our duffs and make it happen.

too true,
Not interested in Dem lite or RINO turds.
I want a real conservative party. If not I’m outta the Republican party.
Excrement like Hagel, and so many more make me sick and have taken the party in to the gutter.

IMHO- the first cut was inflicted by Sen. Trent Lott via the midnight vote to let Clinton off the hook.

Then the failure of the republicans to goveren from the right and remove a lot of the socialist programs.

We have lost this battle because the left nationalized education and are indoctronating our children.

“We have lost this battle because the left nationalized education and are indoctronating our children.”

As the father of two sons undergoing public school indoctrination, I can say that this is unfortunately, true. It's a full time job reeducating them and undoing the force-fed political correctness. Unfortunately, most of the other parents are unwilling or unable to do the same. Judging from my son's teenage friends, the future looks bleak for an educated, moral electorate.

What i think this country needs is an intelligent response to the problems which this country faces. Once we have decided on what solutions we want, then we should elect people to carry out those solutions. So far, i have heard nothing, but let Uncle handle it. It is manifestly obvious that Uncle doesn’t have a clue as to what to do on the economic front. Meanwhile, the environmental anarchists want to solve a global warming problem (which isn’t happening) with the wrong solution if it were happening.

While at the gates stand the barbarians from the 7th century (armed with AK-47, swords, and plastic explosives + only the Lord knows what else) who want to behead the men, sell the children into slavery and rape all the women multiple times. The barbarians are backed by US dollars which we gave them through our inept energy policies (fanned once again by the environmental anarchist who didn’t want an oil drilling platform to spoil the ocean view or their desire not to disturb the caribou).

As our power demands increase (in part due to the 11-25 million illegal immigrants in our country) we do not build power plants for one specious reason or another. Crime now makes many parts of our cities dangerous to enter or live in, while we sit on our hands without the will to take any action.
Illegal aliens which commit felonies are released and not deported to prey once again on American citizens.

And so on.

We need articulated solutions to ponder over as we stand in the future bread lines. Will our children and grandchildren curse our names as they huddle in their shacks? This is not the America that I fought and worked for.

“I have no way of knowing whether the Republican party will go the way of the Whigs, the Bull Moose and the dodo bird”

That’s fairly retarded. Even it’s weak it’s not going anywhere.

If Obama gets everything on his wish list, doing 8 years as President will be a piece of cake.

I think the thing most president’s hate is criticism. And Obama will take care of that rather quickly by silencing it.
